£88M star responds to reports he is joining Chelsea end of season!

AC Milan striker Rafael Leao has responded to rumours linking him with a move to CHELSEA in the summer transfer window.

Leao has been one of AC Milan’s most important players over the past four seasons, registering 36 goals and 31 assists across 147 games for the club.

Leao’s current deal is up in the summer of 2024 and while talks are ongoing, a host of Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation in hope that he could become available.

We have been heavily linked for the last couple of transfer windows and many did expect them to sign Leao in the January window – but other targets were signed and they moved on from the man. But they will be back for the man at the end of the season.

However – despite admitting that he would one day like to play in the Premier League – he has now cast doubt over a summer switch to Stamford Bridge.

‘I don’t like the weather there [in England],’ Leao said in an interview on YouTube. ‘I went shopping the first time I went to London.’

Speaking about the clubs attempt to sign Leao last summer, AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini said: ‘Rafa knows that to become stronger than now the solution is to stay with us.

CHELSEA’s officially written offer did not arrive but on an informal level it did. Of course, it was rejected.’
