Lamps Agent confirms Milik interest, Pulisic too good for Chelsea, Simikan for £18 million and Lamps drops kepa hint in icchelseanews rundup…
The agent of Arkadiusz Milik has confirmed there is Premier League interest in the player, with Chelsea long-term chasers of the striker
Milik appeared to be on the brink of leaving Napoli in the most recent transfer window, but the 26-year-old, would end up staying at Napoli despite admitting he had accepted offers from other teams, and so far this season, he hasn’t made a single appearance after being left off Gennaro Gattuso’s squad lists.
But out of sight hasn’t meant out of mind for some of Europe’s top clubs, and there has still been alot of interest shown in the player from some big clubs, according to his agent Fabrizio De Vecchi
He explained: “The best clubs in the Premier League, Atletico and Marseille are interested in Arek. Of course, no team offers what Napoli asks for.”
As for last summer, he continued: “Roma and Juve were also close to signing him, but for different reasons, and in some cases still difficult to understand, the negotiation did not work out.
“But this often happens in football. If they come back to him? I don’t rule it out, but I can’t be the one to say it.”
Frank Lampard has dropped a massive hint that Kepa could be leaving Chelsea this transfer window, if the right offers arrive.
Kepa was supposed to be that would be the player who would be the clubs stopper for the next ten years when he was signed just a few seasons ago, and with a solid start to his career her, it was looking good for the lad.
However, since the arrival of Frank Lampard has boss seen kepa fall well out of favour at the club and that led to the Blues spending money in the summer window and bring the impressing Edouard Mendy to the club.
But while not revealing whether or not he will be leaving, Lampard has suggested he could get sold if the right offer arrives.
The boss said on the club website: “Well at the moment he’s our player and I think the situation is clear. Edou’s [Mendy] come in, he’s been playing regularly as the No1 for us.
“And when Kepa has come in he did well, and he’s trained really well. His attitude around the place has been brilliant.
“So I won’t be drawn on that one at the moment, he’s our player, we’ll see how January goes.
“But I don’t want to be alluding to what might or might not be.”
Chelsea have reportedly been informed how much it will cost to secure a deal for Strasbourg youngster Mohamed Simakan.
Frank Lampard made the decision over the summer to bring Thiago Silva to the club after hearing that he would become a free agent after deciding that now was the best time to leave PSG.
However, he will not be at the club forever, meaning that Lampard will need to delve into that transfer kitty and try to sign a long-term replacement for the defender, with Simakan a man that has arrived on the shopping list.
According to the latest reports Le 10 Sport, we have ‘positioned themselves’ to sign Strasbourg’s Simakan, 20, who has established himself as one of the finest young centre-backs in Ligue 1 over the last two seasons, and are in deep talks to get a transfer deal done
And according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Strasbourg have told the Premier League giants that they want £18m if they are to agree to selling Simakan.
Look, £18 million is not alot of money for a lad that is rated very highly and young enough to come in and learn from Silva before he departs the club in the coming seasons. So at the end of the day, they should pay that money, he could be worth it.
Former United States international Alexi Lalas believes Christian Pulisic is ‘too good for Chelsea’.
The 22-year-old has yet to hit the ground running this season, but Lalas has praised Pulisic for trying to make things happen in the Blues’ 3-1 defeat to Manchester City last weekend, and has made a big claim that he is too good for the side.
“I thought Christian Pulisic was incredible,” Lalas told his State of the Union podcast.
“I know at times it looked like he was trying to do everything himself but taking on two and three players at a time, his quickness, his one-two touches, all of that kind of stuff.
“If you watch that game [against Man City], a game in which Chelsea got completely destroyed, I’m hard-pressed to find anybody who would watch that game and single out Christian Pulisic as a bright spot.
“That’s not always the case when Christian Pulisic plays, but in this game I actually appreciated and respected the fact he constantly went searching for the ball. He was constantly doing what he does so well which is take players on. At times it was two, three players, at times ultimately that last guy would nick the ball, but it wasn’t as if he had options up there so you’d say, ‘why’s he trying to do everything himself’ or, ‘he’s doing too much’.
“Here’s the problem. The way we’re talking about this performance from Christian Pulisic is of a player who shines despite the fact that he is not playing with the best players, or is playing against vastly superior opposition and still being able to show.”
Pulisic is at the perfect club to develop into a world class star, he is just taking some time to get going this season,. But he is not too good for the club, not yet
