Speedy winger has been told he needs to complete summer Chelsea move

Former Blues defender Frank Leboeuf has insisted that Christian Pulisic should consider leaving Chelsea in the summer.

Once regarded as one of the finest talents in the Bundesliga – Chelsea opted to pay £58 million to bring him to the Premier League believing that he would be the next big superstar for the club

However, he has not hit the heights that many had hoped for and has struggled to make the impact that the board had hoped for, and has barely started in the Premier League this season under Tuchel

That has led to all sorts of speculation in the media over the past few days which have claimed that he has now made the decision to leave the club at the end of the season in order to reignite his career.

Tuchel singled out Pulisic after the winger missed a big chance that could have secured the win for the club in Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Leicester City, when he said that it: “happens too often”.

Now Leboeuf has insisted that Christian Pulisic should consider leaving Stamford Bridge in the summer – since he does not expect the winger to play regularly under Thomas Tuchel.

Laboeuf told ESPN: ““I think [there is] a question mark that he is more influential in the national team than Chelsea. With the future at Chelsea, I don’t see him playing a lot.

“That’s more of advice than my willing to see him leaving. If he still wants to be the ‘Captain America’ next season, he will have to find another team.

“Because if Pulisic stays, with [Timo] Werner, [Kai] Havertz, [Mason] Mount, and maybe [a new attacker] coming in, I don’t see him playing. He never showed that it’s absolutely crucial to have him in the first eleven. I think he will have to go.”
