Chelsea told impressing Dutchman would be great signing for Potter

Ronaldo

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi says a move for Chelsea target Cristiano Ronaldo would be “impossible”.

A few transfer windows after making a move back to Manchester – Ronaldo is back on the market after having his contract at Old Trafford terminated for a TV interview that he had recently done with Piers Morgan.

That has led to all sorts of speculation and rumours about where he could end up – as a whole host of clubs – including Chelsea – linked with a January move for the Portuguese star.

PSG has been a rumoured potential destination for Ronaldo as they have the money to pay him the kind of wages that he reportedly wants – but their wealth of attacking options has hampered any potential deal.

And now the PSG president has come out and admitted that a move for Ronaldo is impossible – handing Chelsea a real transfer boost

“He’s a legend, he’s a star, the footballer, I admire and love him as a player and professional,” said Al-Khelaifion Ronaldo.

“A fantastic player. 37 now he’s doing amazing. But every single club wants to sign him too.

“The problem today for us is we have the position [filled] – his position – so it’s not easy to replace the position that we have with him. But everybody want to have Cristiano.”

When asked if it would be possible to have Neymar, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Cristiano Ronaldo in the same team, Al-Khelaifi replied: ” It’s not easy in football. Any single club would love to have it but it would be impossible, honestly, for us.”
