Prolific scorer signs up with Chelsea – Blues in talks with £50M man – Big Kendry Paez update
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed –
CHELSEA’s future wonder kid arrival Kendry Paez is a step closer to arriving after getting his visa accepted for his move to the UK.
Since the arrival of Ted Boehly at the club last summer – the Club have been spending some serious money on some of the best young talents in the game right now.
It is clear that the American has a long-term plan at Stamford Bridge and has made sure that we have beaten off their rivals for those talents – and it seems that they have once again done it with the signing of Paez
Paez is a talent that has been attracting all the big clubs in the game – and the lad has become the youngest player ever to represent Ecuador at just 16.
Now – it seems that Paez coming to Stamford Bridge is moving closer as he is set to visit the UK over Christmas to check out his future club.
SportWitness have quotes from Independiente del Valle’s sporting director Roberto Arroyo, who explained a little about where his club’s latest gem was up to now:
“We just had Kendry Paez’s visa accepted, and now we have to wait for Chelsea’s planning for him to travel,” Arroyo was quoted as saying.
Club chiefs already believe they’ve signed an “absolute bargain”. That is according to Fabrizio Romano, who recently shared the Paez update in his Daily Briefing.
“It’s becoming clearer all the time that CHELSEA have signed a fantastic talent,” wrote Romano.
“Paez will move to Stamford Bridge in 2025, with Chelsea winning the race for his signature earlier this year when other big clubs like Manchester United and Bayern Munich were also interested in him. The Blues also increasingly feel that they got an absolute bargain for the teenage midfielder, whose value has probably already shot up since they agreed the package for him.
“It was not easy for Chelsea to arrive there ahead of other clubs, so it’s a great job by their recruitment team, and a smart deal. Chelsea feel he’s probably already worth double what they paid for him, so who knows where he’ll be by the time he joins the club when he turns 18.”
CLAYPLOE SIGNS UP –
Chelsea have confirmed Academy forward Aimee Claypole has signed a professional contract with the club until the summer of 2025.
The 18-year-old has been with the club since August 2015. and made her first-team debut for us as a second-half substitute against Aston Villa in the Women’s FA Cup in January 2022.
Last season, she came off the bench against Brighton and Hove Albion in the WSL and against Reading in the FA Cup quarter-finals, and the decision was made to give her a new contract after impressing.
Chelsea confirmed: ‘Everyone at CHELSEA would like to congratulate Aimee on her first professional contract, and we wish her every success for the years to come’.
And the talented star opened up and revealed just how delighted she is that a new deal has been struck with the squad.
‘It’s a really proud moment for me and my family,’ said Claypole. ‘It’s something that I’ve worked really hard for and to do it at my childhood club is a huge honour and to do it at this club, which is one of the best teams in the world.
‘It’s amazing that I’ve been given that honour and the trust has been put in me to allow that to happen. I’m really grateful and I can’t wait to get started.’
General Manager Paul Green commented: ‘We’re really pleased for Aimee to sign her first professional contract. She has been a prolific goal scorer coming through the youth ranks and we’re really looking forward to seeing how she develops in the upcoming years.
‘Aimee is the tenth player in the last four seasons to sign a professional contract, which speaks volumes for the good work going on in our Academy programme.’
GALLAGHER TALKS –
CHELSEA are reportedly already working on a deal to sign up midfielder Conor Gallagher.
Gallegher had been in the transfer headlines alot this summer as it was believed that the club would have allowed him to depart the club if the right offer was made.
That has led to constant speculation in the media that West Ham are very keen to try and get a deal done for the midfielder – and even made an offer of £40 million, which was rejected by the Blues as they were seeking closer to £50 million for Gallagher.
He has featured in the opening weeks of the season for Mauricio Pochettino and is beginning to look like the player that many tipped to become a world class act just a few seasons ago.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
That’s according to TEAMtalk, who claim the board do not want to lose the midfielder ahead of his contract expiring in 18 months.
The report says that Gallagher has been a mainstay of Pochettino’s midfield and has even donned the captain’s armband and the Blues are now expected to open talks over a new deal.
IcChelseanews View…
There is no doubt that Gallagher is a talented midfielder that could shine under Pochettino – so if the boss wants him at Stamford Bridge, Especially as there is a place for him in the side.
There has been so much speculation about his future for seasons now, so this new deal will kind of end the immediate speculation surrounding his future and keep him settled.
