Sporting president Varandas has been speaking on the future of CHELSEA target Victor Gyokeres, and revealed whether the Sporting Lisbon forward will depart the club when the January transfer window opens up in just a few weeks time

This season, he has already scored 16 goals in just 10 League appearances, recently bagging a hat-trick against Manchester City in the Champions League and continuing to make a real name for himself at the Portuguese giants.

We are just one club that are reportedly ready to splash the cash and bring the in-demand striker to the Premier League, and it is looking much more likely that a transfer happens after the departure of Ruben Amorim.

Amorim’s agent Hasan Cetinkaya revealed in the summer that Gyokeres was only at Sporting because of Amorim, and there has been some suggestions that the striker may be open to the idea of leaving Sporting when the transfer window opens up in January.

Now, the Sporting president has suggested that the striker could leave the club at the end of the season. As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Vandaras said: “I can’t promise anything. If a club arrives and pays the release clause, if he (Gyokeres) wants to go, he will go. But I do not think this will happen in January.”

Where Will Gyokeres Go?

There has been may clubs linked with the player and we are one of the sides that are willing to splash some serious money in order to get a transfer deal done, he would be a brilliant signing for the club
