Premier League striker sent message about joining Chelsea

Stephen Warnock has warned Ollie Watkins about leaving Aston Villa amid links to Chelsea.

Watkins has a deal at Aston Villa until 2028 but has been linked with a move away, and although the clubs hunt for a striker has gone quiet in recent weeks –  according to Football Insider, Cole Palmer has been trying to get Watkins to join him at Stamford Bridge.

But despite the latest reports – Warnock has warned the striker about leaving Villa this summer window – Warnock told BetVictor: ‘What he’s got to be careful of is that he’s the number one guy at Villa now and being the main man is vitally important. He likes having that pressure on him to perform well.

‘If he goes somewhere else, he may not quite fit in, he might not settle and the new manager’s philosophy could be a different style of football.

‘The question is whether he wants medals and to try and win the Premier League. Would he go to Chelsea for that? Would he go to Arsenal, Manchester City or Liverpool? I’m not so sure he would. I could see him moving to Arsenal, but I don’t see him going to City or Liverpool.’

Howe good would Watkins be at CHELSEA guys?

He has all the qualities that would make him a superstar signing for the club and that £60 million asking price is an absolute bargain.
