Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer speculation from iccheleseanews that we think you guys may have missed featuring Landon Emanelo, Alejandro Garnacho and Jhon Duran…

CHELSEA are weighing up an opening bid for Alejandro Garnacho as his future becomes increasingly uncertain, with reports suggesting that the Argentine is open to making a move to Stamford Bridge.

The transfer window has been open for a few weeks now but there has not been much action as clubs make sure that they stick to the Financial Fair Play rules, but that has not stopped speculation.

we were expected to add a bit more quality to that attack this transfer window, with many believing that a new striker was something that Enzo Maresca wanted to add to his side by the 31st.

However – it seems that a winger is on the agenda of the Blues, if you believe reports, as Garnacho is a player that the club have shown an interest in signing over recent days after learning that he could be sold by Manchester United.

It is believed Garnacho would prefer to remain in the Premier League – given we an even stronger hand in the transfer market.

We have several wingers but with Mykhailo Mudryk possibly facing a lengthy suspension for testing positive for a banned substance, boss Enzo Maresca is exploring new opportunities.

Garnacho is not the player we need at the club, and to be honest, he would be a waste of money signing

EMANALO DEAL DONE

Landon Emenalo has signed his first professional contract with CHELSEA after celebrating his 17th birthday, the Blues have officially confirmed on their website this week.

The Blues posted on the club website: ‘Emenalo initially joined Chelsea through the Under-8s development centre. Although he spent time with Monaco, the midfielder returned to Cobham during his Under-13s season.

‘During the 2023/24 campaign, Emenalo made his Under-21s debut in a 4-1 victory over Colchester United in the Premier League Cup.

‘This season he has featured regularly for our Under-18s, including starting the FA Youth Cup wins over Leicester City and Merstham, as well as in the Under-17 Premier League Cup.

‘In addition, the midfielder has represented the USA at Under-17s level and also appeared for England Under-17s during the October and November international breaks.

‘Congratulations, Landon!’

It is massive for the lad to agree this deal, he probably deserves his first big contract, but despite how happy he is, he will probably spend the next few seasons out on loan somewhere.

We are delighted that such a talented midfielder will hopefully get the chance to prove himself in that Chelsea shirt in the coming seasons, this is a massive step and one that will give him great confidence.

DURAN MOVE TO BE MADE

CHELSEA could reignite their interest in Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran in the final few days of the January window, and try to tempt the Villians into selling the young forward.

The Colombian striker, 21, was heavily linked with the club in the summer transfer window as the Blues were prepared to pay big money for the young man, but despite all the speculation and rumours, the Blues opted to not make a move for Duran and stick with what thet had.

He now has 13 goals this term and is seen as one of the best young strikers in the Premier League, and a player that we have been eyeing up since the summer transfer window.

The club have started the season in great fashion and are firmly in the chase for that Premier League title, but despite all their quality in attack, there is still a feeling that Nicolas Jackson is not the man that could bang in 30 goals a season.

And according to reports, we could tempt Villa into selling Duran with a massive £80 million offer, the fee that they were asking for during the summer transfer window, as they seek to beat the likes of West Ham, Arsenal and Newcastle to a potential deal.

Duran is a special young talent that could develop into a class striker, so if we are going to make a move for the lad, we need to make sure that the right amount of money is paid, and he is given time to develop.
