Havertz told how to be Premier League success ahead of possible Chelsea move
Lukas Podolski is unsure whether Chelsea target Kai Havertz is physically ready for a move to England.
The midfielder has gone on to make over 150 appearances for the club, scoring 45 goals in all competitions with 37 of those goals coming over the last two seasons, stats that mean we have made him the clubs number one target.
It is believed that he is now ready to take that next step and leave Leverkusen this summer, and we have reportedly agreed a massive £85 million fee to make sure that he is a Blues next season.
Podolski has been asked about Havertz and has told the fans that the lad is a talent, although he feels that a move to England is something that his fellow German needs to prepare for.
Asked on whether he feels Havertz can further bolster his reputation with a move to English football, former Arsenal man Podolski, the 35-year-old joked to The Athletic</a>: “Why are you asking me about a Leverkusen player?”
“I’m [a] Cologne [man] and they are our rivals along with Gladbach and Dusseldorf.
“[But] he’s a great talent. On the ball he is so creative, but he’s still young — let’s see if he can fit into the Premier League. I think he is still missing some strength and power, but he should taste the drink of the Premier League and see if he likes it.
“I did, but I knew I would like it. I’m strong, I have a good shot, I’m from the street, I’m like a pitbull. I knew I could deal with the Premier League with the long balls, the physical side and the referees. It was perfect for me and we had a good team and atmosphere at Arsenal.”
