Pochettino announcement hands Sarri Chelsea boost in Eriksen chase

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted he is unsure whether Chelsea target Christian Eriksen will commit his future to the club.
The Denmark international has just 18 months remaining on his contract and has been linked with several of Europe’s biggest clubs, as reports emerge which claim he is considering his options after another productive season with Spurs.
We have been linked with a move in recent weeks after boss Maurizio Sarri admitted he was a fan of the creative star, with reports he is looking for an immediate replacement for Cesc Fabregas, and now we have been given a huge boost after Pochettino admitted he is not sure whether Eriksen will sign a new deal.
He said on the Sky Sports website: “No news is good news. Who knows? I am not a person who suffers too much in this type of situation, because football is dynamic.
“Football is about interests that sometimes as a manager we cannot manage. It depends on many things. Different parties have interests.”
[the_ad id=”164”]Would Eriksen be welcome here?
Spurs have a problem with how much they pay players and their wage cap means that a big club like ours, could tempt their big players away if the right amount of money is offered.
We could offer Eriksen a massive deal that he simply cannot turn down, so if we really wanted to bring Eriksen to Stamford Bridge there is nothing Spurs could do as they simply couldn’t match the kind of figures that we could lay on the table.
However, Eriksen is only impressive in small games so unless we paid £50 million for him, he would not be worth anymore than that figure.
