Pochettino has asked board to sign Seria A star for Chelsea

It has been claimed that Mauricio Pochettino has asked the board to bring Paolo Dybala to Chelsea

The club had one their worst seasons in recent memory and even finished in the bottom half of the table as they simply could not get the wins that fans expected to see.

And that has led to constant speculation in the media that Dybala is a player that the club are seriously interested in.

WHAT IS THE LATEST –

Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport are reporting that we could make a swoop for Dybala.

Pochettino feels Dybala would be the ideal accompaniment to bring additional firepower to his attack and is keen for Chelsea to explore a deal.

Although the Argentina international would command a big salary, a release clause in his contract with Roma means clubs outside of Serie A can sign him for just €12m (£10m).

WOULD DYBALA BE  GOOD SIGNING?

A few seasons ago, Dybala was one of the best attacking players in the world – and would have been a massive signing for the club – but that is no longer the case.

He is not really a player that will have the quality to adapt to the Premier League and we are better off trying to sign stars that are already proven in the English game.

So even if Pochettino wants him at the club – it may not be the move that gets the club back to the top and challenging.

So we believe that he would not be a good signing.
