Lampard sent some Havertz advice, Pochettino to replace Lampard?, Chelsea to sanction Rudiger exit and Chilwell makes Cole claim in icchelseanews roundup..

Ian Wright has urged Frank Lampard to ‘put more emphasis’ on Kai Havertz in order to get the very best out of the new Chelsea star.

Regarded as one of the finest young players in the game right now, we beat off some heavy competition over the summer in order to get a transfer deal done for Havertz, spending £72 million in the process.

The Germany international has been played in a multitude of positions; on the wing, as false nine and No.10, with the latter his self-proclaimed favoured role, but he has not figured out his best position here just yet.

But Wright has handed Lampard some advice and admitted the 21-year-old needs to be in the middle of all the action to impact the play.

‘I want him to put more emphasis on Havertz and give him more of the ball,’ Wright said on the Kelly and Wrighty show. ‘I saw him do one lay-off for the goal for Hudson-Odoi where you think to yourself that guy has got to be in the middle of the game because he’s going to make things happen because he’s so talented.

‘When you look at Chelsea and what they’ve got especially going forward, I think Kai Havertz is going to be somebody that we’re going to be raving about as soon as he finds his feet. Same with [Timo] Werner with how sharp he is.’

Ben Chilwell has revealed Chelsea legend Ashley Cole told him to ‘die for the badge’ after making the move to Stamford Bridge.

After almost helping Leicester get back inside the Champions League spots last season, we decided to make the summer move to bring Chilwell to Stamford Bridge in a deal that will cost the club £54 million.

Frank Lampard knew that he needed to improve that left-back area, and considering Chilwell is one of the best in the Premier League, it was a no-brainer that a move for the England International was the right move to make.

Chilwell said on the club website: “Seeing the career that he had here, obviously I wanted to emulate that, and still do. To have someone like that who has played for Chelsea, who’s English, it was important for me.

“I spoke to my agent because I was quite keen on getting to meet him.

“I just wanted to get to know him and pick his brains on what he thought of Chelsea as a club, how he reached the success that he reached here.

“I was quite keen to have that chat to find out things like that. Obviously I’m going to work as hard as I can over the next however many years to try and emulate what he’s done here.”

Chelsea have been constantly linked with a move for Declan Rice, but Dayot Upamecano is the man that they need to sign this transfer window.

Upamecano has firmly established himself as one of the very best centre-backs over in the Bundesliga over the past few seasons and his performances have led to rumours that he is coming to the Premier League

The defender has been linked with big-money moves to club for months now, But Frank Lampard has not been making any moves for Upamecano as he brought in the experienced Thiago Silva to help solve the issues at the back.

It is believed that we are keen to try and make a move to try and bring Rice to the club, although is massive asking price is also an issues for the club as the board reportedly dont believe in his ability

But we do not need to add another midfielder to the side and will need to buy a replacement for Antonio Rudiger, who is seemingly set to leave the club, and Upamecano could be that man.

Look, we have just signed the brilliant Thiago Silva, that could be the best signing for the club this summer, But Upamecano is a player that is regarded as one of the very best in the business right now.

As we said, Upamecano is one of the very best defenders in the game and the chance to sign him up for a small fee is an opportunity sides cannot miss out on.

Reports have suggested that Chelsea are ready to let Antonio Rudiger join Tottenham, but he must sign a new contract first.

Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho knows that he needs to improve this Tottenham back-line as it is costing the club too many points, and he has been eyeing up a number of defenders that could help improve the back-line.

Rudiger has been linked with a host of clubs across Europe, including PSG and Barcelona, having not featured in any of Frank Lampard’s matchday squads so far this season, and And now he looks set to depart the club, if you believe all the reports in the media.

According to the Evening Standard, the Germany international has been told he is surplus to requirements by Lampard, paving his way out out of the club.

And a switch to Tottenham for Rudiger could on the cards, but only if we manage to get him to extend his deal for another year to ensure he can’t go on the cheap at the end of the loan deal.

Rudiger is a decent defender that has done a decent job at the club, but there is a reason why we are willing to let him go and that is because he is too unreliable at the back.

Roman Abramovic may seek to hire Mauricio Pochettino this season, if Frank Lampard continues picking up poor results.

Lampard had a terrific season last year as boss and led the club back into those Champions League spots and an FA Cup final, where they shocking lost to Arsenal, but that opened the door for a summer of spending.

Roman Abramovic has backed the club legend, has given him the funds he needs to sign players, and is seemingly happy with the feeling that is around the club right now, especially with all the young talents coning through.

Edouard Mendy has been signed, Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell have been signed to improve that midfield, Hakim Ziyech ad Kai Havertz have been signed to give the side a bit more quality in attack, while Timo Werner has been signed to score the goals.

However, after a poor performance against West Brom at the weekend and then getting knocked out of the Carabao Cup to Tottenham, there is a feeling around the media that Lampard will be the first Premier League boss to get the sack.

Yes he is bring through the talented players, and yes there is a good feeling surrounding the club, but at the end of the day, Abramovic wants results, he wants wins and he expects trophies, especially with all the money that has been spent.

And should Lampard get the sack, Ex-Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino the man that will replace Lampard.

Pochettino is easily regarded as one of the finest young coaches in the game and led Tottenham to that Champions League final last season, but some poor results and the availability of Jose Mourinho, meant that Tottenham gave him the sack.

But Pochettino is on the market, is keen for a move back to the Premier League and is a big target for Abramovic, who likes the way that Poch plays the beautiful game.

Lampard will be given time to get things right, but if he fails to pick up the results that Abramovic wants, then Pochettino will be the next man in.
