Chelsea told brilliant attacker will cost over £100 million to sign
CHELSEA hero Pat Nevin has come out and claimed that it will take well in excess of £100 million to prise Cole Palmer away from Stamford Bridge in the coming transfer windows.
His performances for the club over the past few seasons now means that he is the man at Stamford Bridge, mainly down to the fact that he already has over 50 goal contributions for the Blues since his arrival from City.
He is valued as one of the most expensive players in world football right now, and Nevin has come out and claimed that a bid of over £100 million will only get the player signed up: ‘Cole Palmer is worth well in excess of £100million, that is an absolute given,’ Nevin told Grosvenor Sport..
‘Having said that, the market has changed from English clubs being able to throw money at players without worrying too much about consequences, look at Everton and Newcastle who are having to be careful at the moment.
‘But Cole Palmer is one player who will still be seen as worth taking the risk on and I think there will be attempts to sign him from CHELSEA.
‘If Barcelona were in the right position then they would be in for him and I suspect Real Madrid would be the same because if I had to pick between Jude Bellingham and Cole Palmer, I’d pick Palmer.
‘I said that before Euro 2024 and it raised a lot of eyebrows, but Palmer is genius levels.
‘He doesn’t sell himself big but he is posting numbers like Kevin De Bruyne used to and like Mohamed Salah does – but they didn’t at his age.
‘He is very special and worth £100million – and the rest on top.’
