Boehly will offer 19-goal star ‘double his salary’ deal to make Chelsea switch

CHELSEA are reportedly ready to offer Victor Osimhen over double his current salary at Napoli in order to sign for the Blues.

The club are in the middle of transition right now and missed out in January of adding a striker to that attack – something that they have needed and something that the board should have made sure was sorted.

Osimhen is a player that the club have been keeping a very close eye on over the past few months and it is widely believed that they will reignite their interest in the striker at the end of the current season.

Napoli do not wish to sell – But president Aurelio Laurentiis says players like Osimhen , who has been linked to Chelsea, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, are susceptible to receiving other offers “they can’t refuse”.

According to CalcioMercato, Todd Boehly is keen to break the bank once again to sign one Serie A’s leading goalscorer this season, with Osimhen leading Napoli’s charge for a first Scudetto title this century with 21 goals this season

Amid all the speculation and the rumours – Emmanuel Petit has recently come out and declared that Chelsea must sign Osimhen in the summer – Speaking to Premier League Odds, Petit said:

“If I was Chelsea, I would go for Osimhen over the likes of Marcus Thuram.

“You know there is a striker’s curse at Chelsea but someday this will be broken and he could do it. I have followed Osimhen since he played for Lille and he was already a very good striker.

Since he left for Italy, where the pressure is very high and the fans are passionate, he’s played brilliantly. They have so much pace in their game and he is physical, clinical and very confident about his quality.

“If CHELSEA can bring in Osimhen, that’d be very good for them. He reminds me of Drogba somewhat. He certainly possesses the same qualities as him.”
