Incoming French star will be ‘marquee signing for Chelsea board – fans told

It has been claimed that Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise would be seen as a marquee signing for Chelsea.
Olise enjoyed a productive season with Crystal Palace despite only playing 19 Premier League games due to an ongoing hamstring injury, as the winger struck 10 goals and provided six assists in the top-flight as Palace finished 10th under Oliver Glasner.
We attempted to trigger the 22-year-old’s release clause last summer but the player ultimately signed a new deal with Palace, but the Blues are expected to delve back into the transfer window for the Frenchman regardless who the new manager is.
According to Give Me Sport, the Blues have agreed personal terms with Olise to bring him to Stamford Bridge this summer, and now football.london writer, Kieran Horn has claimed that he would be a marquee signing for the club.
He said: ‘Bringing in Olise would undoubtedly be a marquee transfer for CHELSEA, with the first steps looking to have been taken to agreeing a deal.
‘Negotiating with Crystal Palace could now be the difficult part, especially as £60 million has been claimed to be the starting asking price. With the 22-year-old not heading to this summer’s European championships, talks to agree on a deal are facing no imminent hurdles, which will allow Chelsea to be swift in their pursuit of his services.
‘However, there is a light deadline in place, with Thierry Henry keen to have Olise in his squad for the Olympics, which begins in late July.’
