Departing star ‘will not be a massive Chelsea loss’ -Blues free to sign midfielder – £64M will get deal done
Chelsea sent Christensen message – Darwin Nunez price set – Chelsea get green light to make Rice move in Chelsea roundup…
Benfica star and Chelsea target Darwin Nunez will cost around €75-80million (£64-68m) in the summer – New owner Ted Boehly has been told
Romelu Lukaku has only started a handful of Premier League and European games since the beginning of February, increasingly finding himself part of the second string in west London, and looks like a player that wants to depart the club.
Now, reports have claimed that the incoming owners could decide to cut their loses in the transfer window and let the powerhouse depart the club, and a move back to Italian football could be on the cards.
And we have now learned that Chelsea will offer Darwin Nunez that massive five-year contract worth around £200,000-a-week to come to the Premier League and lead their attack
Nuñez has scored 34 goals in all competitions for Benfica this season, but More impressive is his impressive performances against the biggest clubs in the Champions League.
He is a well-rounded, dynamic striker with loads of potential, and at the tender age of 22, Nuñez has plenty of years ahead of him and is the hard-working, efficient player Thomas Tuchel likes.
Now, amid all the speculation that we are keen on a transfer deal – the incoming board have been told that they will need to fork out £64-68 million to secure a deal for Nunez
Romano told the Wondergoal Podcast: “I’m really curious to see what happens with Darwin Nunez because I see him leaving Benfica this summer.
“I’m sure. It will depend on the price because, for example, in January on deadline day, West Ham made a proposal of €45m and it was turned down because Benfica wanted €55m.
“Now I think with €55m, you are absolutely not buying him. So, what is needed is around €75-80m for Darwin Nunez, to open negotiations with Benfica”

Nunez is a man that has played a number of positions for Benfica this season, but is still able to score the goals that have elevated him to one of the most dangerous is Europe
Chelsea have been told that long-term target Declan Rice will reject the latest offer from West Ham.
Rice is a player that has been in the headlines alot over the past few months as there has been alot of speculation about whether or not he will be leaving the Hammers in order to join a big club
That has led to constant suggestions in the media that we are very much interested in a potential deal for the midfielder – even though he would cost well over £100 million in the transfer window.
However, West Ham do not want to let their biggest star leave the club and have reportedly offered Rice a ten-year deal that is worth close to £200,000-a-week – making him the highest paid player at the club.
But it seems that his decision is already made and it seems that he wants to leave the club – if you believe what SunSports Duncan Wright has claimed: “The 23-year-old is one of the hottest properties in European football and admits he may have to quit the London Stadium to play the top-level football he craves.
“And though The Hammers have now come up with four improved offers in an attempt to tie him down the midfielder is standing firm by rejecting every approach.
“Central to his thinking is not wanting to box himself into a similar position to England teammate Harry Kane, who saw his dream move to Manchester City blocked because Tottenham had him locked into a long-term deal”

Rice is one of those special talents that has developed nicely and is now ready to make that next step in his career to join a side that is playing at the top of the game – that is playing Champions League football and that is challenging for trophies
Ex-Chelsea centre-back Jason Cundy believes Andreas Christensen would be no ‘massive loss’ if he exits on a free deal this summer as expected.
American Bellionaire Ted Boehly has had his offer accepted by the board at Chelsea and is just waiting for the government to sanctions the £4.25 billion takeover of the Premier League giants
But that has not stopped the speculation about the type of players that will be coming to the club in the summer transfer window, and leaving the club either on free deals or being sold as the club may look to revamp.
With the Danish defender running his contract down towards free agency, it has been clamed in recent weeks that Barcelona have agreed a deal – worth around £200,000-a-weeo – to take him to la Liga during the summer window
And it has even been claimed in the media that the defender has told his team to find him a nice new pad in Spain – and amid all the rumours Cundy has sent a clear message to the faithful
Cundy told talkSPORT: “He never really fulfilled his [potential]… ”
The former Spurs and Ipswich defender, added, though: “He had a great period, and he’s been brilliant for us when he’s comes in.
“He came on in the Champions League final when Thiago Silva got taken off.”

Christensen is a very gifted defender that could become a top-class one, so the news that he is all set to depart the club at the end of the season will come as a massive blow to the squad, but at the end of the day, he is still a player that can be replaced
