Borussia Dortmund star Jamie Gittens is closing in on a move to the Premier League after agreeing personal terms over a switch to London giants CHELSEA
The club finished the season very well they got champions League football, and they won a European trophy, which doesn’t come around very often. So Enzo Maresca is looking the splash some more money improve the squad.
He has already acquired the services of Mamadou Sarr, Dario Essugo and Liam Delap, But there is always room for growth at the club – and that means the club will continue to seek players that will come in, sign massive contracts and hopefully develop into the stars of the future, and now the Blues are now closing in on their next transfer target.
Gittens is understood to have agreed personal terms with Chelsea before Dortmund’s Club World Cup campaign got underway and the youngster has been eager to finalise a switch to Stamford Bridge as quickly as possible.
The England Under-21 international is tied into a contract with Dortmund until June 2028.
Across his four seasons at the Westfalenstadion, Gittens has racked up 17 goals and 14 assists in 107 appearances for BVB’s first-team.
IcChelseanews Says…
There is plenty of time for this deal to happen, there will be many more rumours, but the lad has serious talent and could make an instant impact on the club, if he is able to adapt to the Premier League.
We are not sure that he is needed, but the lad will be a great signing for us that is for sure.
JOAO PEDRO TO MAKE IMPACT?
Former Newcastle manager Alan Pardew has given his view on CHELSEA‘s £60m deal for Joao Pedro with the striker on his way to Stamford Bridge after the Blues made their moves to get a transfer deal done.

Chelsea have set out their stall in the first few weeks of the summer transfer window, bringing in Mamadou Sarr, Dario Essugo and Liam Delap for a combined fee of around £72million.
But in recent days it has emerged that the Blues made their moves to sign Joao Pedro, who had one of the best seasons last year for Brighton, and he will be joining the Blues in a massive £60 million deal.
Now Pardew has given his view on Chelsea’s £60m deal for Joao Pedro: “They’re going to spread the payments, which, again gets around the rules, etc,” he told talkSPORT. “A great signing for them.
“I’m a big fan of his. They have got it in time. Wow. I think that’s a first-class player and will fit well with all those young players around him. Newcastle will be absolutely distraught about that.
“CHELSEA‘s model is based around young players and young attacking players don’t really lose much value so I can see that this is a safe bet for them. He’s out of contract soon and they have taken him on. This fee looks excessive, but Newcastle wanted him.
“He’s established, he can play through the middle, he can play off the side. He gives you great variation so I think he’s a great player. It’s a big fee but I think he can justify that fee.”
CHELSEA OFFERED MARTINEZ
CHELSEA have been offered the chance to sign Manchester United transfer target Emiliano Martinez for £45million in a shock transfer rumour that has emerged.
Aston Villa signed Martinez from Arsenal in 2020 and the 32-year-old has gone on to establish himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, and a player that has lifted the World Cup with Argentina.
However, Speculation around the Aston Villa goalkeeper and his future remains at fever pitch this summer. Several reports have underlined Martinez, 32, as a potential replacement for Andre Onana.
The Manchester Evening News understands Onana is expected to stay put this summer. However, after making a few high-profile mistakes at Old Trafford and beyond, signing a new first-choice goalkeeper has been tipped.
But The Mirror indicate we have been “offered the chance” to sign Argentina’s No.1 for £45million.
Robert Sanchez is the current number one at CHELSEA, but the big man has been too inconsistent and he has been constantly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
IcChelseanews View…
We do need a stopper, but again, we would be massive surprised to see Martinez make the move to Stamford Bridge, especially because the board like to sign players that they can offer 10 year contracts too.
However – he is a world class goalkeeper that would bring some much needed experience to that defence
