Crazy money! Koulibaly will cost Chelsea sensational £108 million to acquire

Napoli have reportedly told chasing Chelsea they will have to pay a staggering £108m to prise Kalidou Koulibaly away.

Despite our relatively good start to the new season under Maurizio sarri, weare lacking in certain areas of the pitch and defence is certainly one of them as both David Luiz and Antonio Ruidger are too unreliable when it comes to the big games.

That has led to a lot of speculation that Sarri is ready to delve into the transfer kitty to land a world class centre-half, with the likes of Koulibaly, Elsaid Hysaj, Daniel Rugani and even Toby Alderweireld all linked with a possible switch to Stamford Bridge.

But according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has told chasing clubs that they will now have to spend £108 million to secure a deal for Koulibaly in the coming transfer windows.

Koulibaly recently signed a deal with Napoli that will keep him at the club until 2023, so the Italians have no need to cash in unless they receive an offer they simply cannot refuse.

Is Koulibaly worth such an amount of money?

Koulibaly is a top-class defender that has impressed over the last few seasons, but Napoli are asking for crazy money and no club will pay such an amount for the defender.

We are in need of improving the back-line but we will surely not be held to ransom by the Italians, especially since there are a number of players out there that would be far cheaper and could do the same kind of job as Koulibaly.

If Napoli seriously want £108 million for Koulibaly, then they can keep him as he is not worth that much money, he is not even close to that figure.
