Danny Murphy believes Eden Hazard will stay and sign a new contract at Chelsea, as he is very happy.
The little Belgian superstar is now regarded as one of the best players in world football and has become a real superstar over the past 12 months with his performances and that has led to intense speculation that Madrid are ready to make a move and sign him up for a fee of around £200 million.
Indeed Hazard himself has admitted that he is interested in making the move to Madrid at the end of the season, as he wants the chance to win the Champions League and Ballon D’or titles, something he believes he simply cannot do here at Stamford Bridge.
And amid speculation that we are preparing to offer Hazard a massive £350,000-a-week deal to sign back-up and commit his long-term future, former Liverpool midfielder Murphy believes that he will sign a new contract as he is happy at the club, telling Bwin: ‘Eden Hazard is the best player in the Premier League and I can see him staying at Chelsea for the long term, if he is offered the right contract.
‘I think his family are happy in London and there’s no guarantee he would get that freedom and happiness at Real Madrid.
‘I think Hazard could become Chelsea’s best player in history if he chooses to stay at the club. He has conducted himself so well throughout the speculation and the fans love him even more for it.’[the_ad id=”238″]
Will Hazard sign a new contract and stay here at Stamford Bridge?
Hazard is happy at the club and has even admitted that he could finish his career here, but all we need to do is convince him that he can indeed win the Champions League and Ballon D’or titles as a Blue, and that we are heading in the right direction after such a disappointing year last year.
So yes he could sign a new deal and I would love him to do that, but if his dream is to play for Madrid, then how can we stop that?
