Mason Mount opens up and admits ‘he is buzzing’ to see world class signing arrive at Chelsea in summer
Mason Mount has admitted he is “buzzing” to play alongside Hakim Ziyech at Chelsea next season.
We may have been linked with some big players during the winter transfer window in January, and fans may have not seen the signings that many would have liked, but soon into February we made the shock move to complete a deal for Ziyech.
Ziyech is regarded as one of the most creative and exciting players in Europe right now and has been one of the main reasons why Ajax have been so successful both domestically and in Europe over the past few seasons.
The 26-year-old will make the move Stamford Bridge in the summer after his £37million move from Ajax was agreed earlier this year, which has got many fans excited to see just what he will bring to the club next season and now Mount has admitted that he is also excited.
When asked if he was looking forward to playing with Ziyech, Mount said on THE SUN: “Yeah. So two years ago I was in Holland on loan so I knew a bit about him then and obviously how good of a player he is.
“So obviously it’s another amazing, world-class player joining the club.
“So yeah buzzing to work with him, train with him and hopefully play with him.
Landing Ziyech early in the summer was a very good bit of business by the club and he should add some more creativity to the side, especially as they have lacked that world class player since Eden Hazard departed the club.
