Chelsea news: £250k-a-week demanding star tipped to secure transfer move

Stan Collymore has tipped CHELSEA midfielder Mason Mount for a stunning move to Liverpool.

Mount has been a massive player for the club over the past few bosses and has been constantly made the clubs player of the season – but this year he has barefly featured for Graham Potter.

He has not been as effective – he has not been able to make the impact that Potter would have liked and has found himself on the bench more often than not – and with his contract running down – there has been alot of speculation regarding his future.

The board simply do not want to pay the midfielder the kind of wages that he is reportedly demanding – and that has led to alot of speculation in the media that he is a player that Jurgen Klopp would like to sign at the end of the season.

Now – Writing for CaughtOffside, Collymore believes that a switch to Liverpool for Mount in the summer could be on the cards.

“I’ve been told by two very reliable people, one of which being a person who knows Mason Mount personally, that his rumoured move to Liverpool this summer is very much on,” he said.

“It’s already being discussed within both clubs. There is a lot still to decide though, particularly at CHELSEA. There will be a lot of outgoings and probably some more incomings so a lot will depend on what the club decides to do but the fact they’re already talking about the possibility of letting Mount go says a lot.”
