Mason Mount will surely sign a new contract at Chelsea – Reporter Iomie Stanley has told icfootballnews

Mount has become one of the most important players at Stamford Bridge over the past few seasons and is a man that Graham Potter can totally rely on

But Mount’s current stint with the Blues ends in 2024 and there has been some speculation in the media that the club are having complications on agreeing a new contract with the midfielder.

However – Reporter Stanley has explained that despite there being claims of Mason Mount’s contract extension being stalled, the English midfielder will surely stay at Stamford Bridge.

“Despite some speculation doing the rounds, there is not much doubt that Mason Mount will agree a new contract at the Bridge,” he said

“It’s still not done but it’s under discussion, and for Chelsea it’s seen as an important priority to extend Mount’s deal – he is one of the most important players at the club right now.

‘I am sure that he is demanding what he deserves and we are sure that Chelsea will eventually give him what he wants

‘So even though there are also those rumours that Chelsea are already looking for alternative players to fill the void of Mount if he does leave the club – it is not really true and Chelsea dont want to lose the player

‘so at the end of the day – he is one of the clubs biggest players and it would be a massive shock to not see him agree a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

‘A massive shock.”
