Mason Mount is all set to end possible Man United speculation by committing his future to Chelsea

Ten Hag first became aware of Mount’s abilities when he impressed as a teenager on loan with Vitesse Arnheim in Holland – and the Dutchman has tracked his progress closely ever since, and given the chance, it is believed he would jump at the opportunity to try to tempt him to the North West.

Despite being named the London club’s player of the year for a second time, Mount is one of the lowest paid in the squad at Stamford Bridge – and he has not yet agreed that new contract

New Ten Hag is well aware of the 23-year-old’s predicament and United’s interest has already been registered with the player’s camp – it has been claimed in the recent rounds of speculation

However – it has not been claimed that Mount has no desire to leave Chelsea and has made it his focus to stay with the club

The Sun have claimed that he will look to sign a new long-term contract with the club- as he believes that is where his future lays

Mount has been brilliant for Chelsea over the past few seasons and honestly – has been one of the clubs most consistent players – so the fact that the club are in this situation – is just totally bizarre

He still has two years left on his current deal with the club – so they don need to rush into handing him the contract he wants – but they will surely want to end speculation on his future quickly
