Boatneg message sent, Chelsea free to sign Eriksen, Lamps urged to sign midfielder and Hammers know Rice is leaving in icchelseanews roundup…
Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink has urged Chelsea to add another creative midfielder to the squad.
Goals are never going to be a problem with the likes of Timo Werner, Tammy Abrahmam, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz around, as many are not tipping this squad to mount a serious challenge for that Premier League title.
But Hasselbaink believes greater depth could also be added in that department, and ahead of the January transfer window, he has urged the club to add another creative midfielder to the squad, The Dutchman was quoted on the Daily Mirror: “I would also like to see another creative midfielder.
“I like Mason Mount, but maybe somebody to play alongside him.
“Havertz is there, I know, but you want healthy, quality competition in that area. I don’t think Chelsea are far off at all.”
Lampard spent some serious money in the transfer window signing some top-level players, but if he is going to add to his squad in the coming window, then he needs to add a new defender that would succeed Silva.
Chelsea target Christian Eriksen is free to leave Inter in January, club chief executive officer Beppe Marotta has confirmed.
Since his move to Italian football, it has not worked out like he would have hoped with Inter and he has been constantly linked with a return back to the Premier League, with our club one of the favourites to get a transfer deal all wrapped up.
Now Marotta says Nerazzurri are ready to listen to offers for the former Tottenham man: “Yesterday, Conte answered in a very comprehensive way,” Marotta told DAZN, with the head coach having already been asked about Eriksen’s long-term future.
“I clearly add that we will not hold a footballer back if they ask to be transferred. We will have to make the right evaluations.
“Conte is using [Eriksen] with respect for the player and the club. At the moment no offers have arrived, but at the appropriate time we will try to make the right decisions.”

Frank Lampard may have spent a ton of money in the transfer window and brought in the players that have managed to turn this side into real title contenders this season.
But there is still some need for the club legend to ask for a bit more money and add a bit more depth to this squad, especially with the COVID-19 still lingering around the world and the fear of constant injuries from all the games the players are having to play
That has led to some speculation in the media that we are actually interested in trying to secure a deal for Boateng, who has been linked with a move away from Bayern over the past few weeks as all indications suggest that they are open to letting the German leave.
However, Salihamidzic, hopes to keep the 32-year-old defender in Munich, where the club hope he can add to his 333 appearances taken in across nine years.
“We all know that Jerome has a contract until June 30th, 2021 and we will talk to Jerome and his management at a reasonable time and make a fair decision for everyone,” Salihamidzic told Sky Sport Germany. “This is not an issue for us at the moment.”
West Ham know that Chelsea target Declan Rice will leave the club Patrice Evra has claimed.
Rice has developed into one of the very best holding midfielders in the game over at the Hammers, but his name has been in the headlines alot over the past few months about where he will end up after West Ham.
We are the firm favourites to try and get a transfer deal done, as constant reports have claimed that Frank Lampard sees Rice as the ideal man to come in and take-over from Ngolo Kante, who is being linked with a move away from the club on a weekly basis.
Now, amid all the speculation, The French defender was a pundit on Sky Sport watching West Ham’s 1-0 win over Sheffield United on Sunday – a game in which Rice was named ahead of Noble as skipper for the Irons, and he has claimed that the Hammers already know that they are going to lose Rice.
“Moyes has given him the captaincy, so for me, it symbols the future of West Ham. It’s not easy to put Mark Noble on the bench,” Evra explained.
“They know they are going to lose him, because many big clubs are interested in Declan, but right now, he’s the man of West Ham. I’m not surprised.
“I knew this player would never allow his head to get bigger because he’s so focused and so humble, and you can see him smiling – he’s happy, what a joy. I’m very pleased for him.”
We would love Rice here, but not for the right kind of money
