Chelsea new boy Hakim Ziyech says he has settled into life at Chelsea after his move to London

Ziych was one of the first summer signings for Frank Lampard after making a real name for himself over with Dutch Giants Ajax, but he has had to wait for his chance in this side because of injuries.

After after helping the side pick up a solid 4-1 victory at the weekend, Ziyech has opened up and revealed that he is now very settled into life at the club after making that summer move to the Premier League.

Speaking in the club’s official matchday programme, Ziyech said: “I’ve settled really well. I’ve found my place, it feels like home and a lot of people have helped me – in the squad and also people outside the squad that works for the club. They’ve settled me really well.

“On the pitch, I’m enjoying building an understanding with the other players, which is always something to look forward to.

“You know how it goes in football – you work together every day and the last month I’ve been here, everything has gone well with my team-mates, so it’s really exciting.

“It’s a squad of big talents that are young, hungry and that’s the thing that I like – when people are hungry and want to achieve something.”

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has singled out Thiago Silva for his “big impact” since arriving at the club.

After leaving PSG at the back-end of last season, Many in the media firmly believes that Silva was too old to make an impact in the Premier League and was just looking for one more big pay-check before he heads over to China or the MLS.

But the Brazilian has looked nothing short of world class for this side and have helped the club get back on track in their quest to regain that Premier League title from under the noses of Manchester City and Liverpool

Lampard always expected Silva to be a success at Stamford Bridge but he has been blown away by the 36-year-old’s conduct on and off the pitch: “I knew the player that he was when he came here because of the career he had,” Lampard said in a post-match press conference which was quoted on GOAL

“He played in the Champions League final a few weeks before coming here, but his level of performance since he’s been here, without much of a pre-season, the influence, individual performance, the way he is between games, he attacks training so diligently.

“He looks at opposition when we are having meetings, he wants to know. So I have a lot of conversations with him. He has been brilliant, I can’t say enough about him. Then he gets the goal today, a very good goal. He has made a big impact.

“I am very open to make sure we give him the best rest in between and make things easy for him. He looks fit, he is fit, he’s fresh and he is helping and rubbing off on others around him. Long may that continue.”

Frank Lampard couldnt help but praise the impressive Hakim Ziyech for the 4-1 Chelsea win at the weekend.

We spent over £200 million in the transfer window in order to sign the players that Lampard feels that will push them towards that Premier League title, and Ziyech is a signing that has been making all the right kind of headlines since he has been brought into the squad.

He was on hand again at the weekend to create some more goals for his team-mates and A delighted Frank Lampard has been praising his team’s performance after they conceded an early goal, and has singled out Ziyech for his man of the match performance

“Sheffield United are very good at taking the momentum in games and they did that early on.

“Once the goal goes in, the reaction is important and our reaction for the rest of the game was spot on.

“We knew [Ziyech] was a top player. Sometimes it’s great to see that from afar, but when you work with someone they impress you even more with their personality around the place and their quality on the pitch..

“When you think about our squad this year, we have competition as top teams generally do, and I need players who can come in, lift the level and do something different.

“We’re third, but the season is long and we’re in the very early days. I am keeping my feet on the ground.”

“We played against him in the Champions League the year before, I knew the player. Top top class player.”

Chelsea are real title contenders this season, according to Frank Sinclair.

Lampard’s new-look squad is already beginning to gel together nicely, and we are only four points adrift of the Premier League summit after seven fixtures, with a home meeting against struggling Sheffield United up next on Saturday.

Sinclair is confident his old club are heading in the right direction, and sees an opportunity for them to recapture the Premier League crown with reigning champions Liverpool currently being forced to cope without long-term injury absentee Virgil van Dijk.

“Initially when Frank Lampard brought in a few new faces I was really excited, but then you have the realisation that it’s going to take time for things to work out – especially in an attacking sense,” the ex-Blues defender told Ladbrokes.

“You need to give them time to settle into the team.

“It’s pretty evident in recent results that they have done that and I can only see Chelsea kicking on and getting stronger throughout the season and I think they can be real contenders for the title because for me, there’s no outstanding side.

“Obviously Liverpool are the main team you’ve got to try and overtake to win the title but with them losing Virgil van Dijk I think it opens things up for a few sides to be involved in the title race.

“I think Chelsea will be in and around it; they’ll only get stronger throughout the season and for me they’ve got arguably the best attacking lines in the country – along with Liverpool.

“The more they get used to playing under Frank, the better they’ll get.”

Inter Milan are reportedly determined to sign Chelsea star N’Golo Kante next summer, with Real Madrid also keen.

Kante impressed once again as the Blues cruised to a 4-1 win over Sheffield United on Saturday but there has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few moths that he is one player that Frank Lampard will allow to leave the club in the coming windows.

And Canal claims Inter boss Antonio Conte is eager to be reunited with the midfielder, 29, after bringing him to Stamford Bridge in 2016. The pair won the Premier League title together that season and added the FA Cup in 2017 before Conte was sacked.

However, Frank Lampard recently came out and revealed just how important he is to this Chelsea side: “He played about 50 per cent of the games last year and that is a big loss for half the season, a player of his level,” Lampard said

“So I made a big, big step to try to manage his training and games and make sure that we attempt to have him fit and ready for as many games as we can.

“His attributes are incredible, he can play in many positions in the midfield. The energy and ability to win the ball back, but also his ability on the ball, which is sometimes underrated, is amazing. He can play in different roles.

“People always want to talk about that he’s the best defensive midfielder and should be in a deeper role. But he can play in lots of different roles to massive effect and I am pleased he is fit now. We will have to keep managing that to make sure he stays fit, because he is massively important.”

Kante is a world class player and we would be very unhappy if he were to get sold, wouldnt you?
