Former Blues star tells Maresca to bring striker to Chelsea this winter

John Obi Mikel has told CHELSEA that they need to add a new striker to the attack during the January transfer window, despite the good performances of Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer
Cole Palmer has 12 goals already this season and Nicolas Jackson has nine goals, but that has not stopped all the speculation and rumours in the media which have suggested that a new striker is wanted by Maresca.
Now, amid all the speculation and rumours, Obi-Mikel has taken to X and encouraged his former club to make a move for a new striker – he posted: ‘We need another striker, I’ve said this so many times, Goalkeeper worries me.”

Jackson has been impressive this season, but will be very lucky to hit the 20 goals mark, while Palmer is more of an attacking midfielder, so adding someone that is proven at the very highest level of the game is needed.
Signing all these talents are great, but that board need some success sooner rather than later or the fans could turn against the club, Maresca must know what he wants, so if the Blues do make a move for a new striker, it will be interesting to see just who he manages to get.
But we do agree with Mikel and a new striker should be signed by Chelsea in the next couple of transfer windows.
