Midfielder wants to join Chelsea – Frenchman drops big Chelsea hint – Blues wants sign world best
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer speculation that you could have missed…
CHELSEA are back in the chase to try and sign Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig this transfer window, and the Dutchman is is reportedly desperate to complete that move to the Blues
The club had a very impressive season under Enzo Maresca last campaign and managed to win a trophy, but also managed to get inside those Champions League places for this upcoming season.
The transfer window has been very goof for the Blues already this summer window, and the club have improved in all areas of the pitch, but there is still alot of talk that the club will still seek to splash the cash and add a few more players to the side,
Simon Phillips has claimed that the player is very keen on a potential move to Stamford Bridge, however the Blues are matched in their interest by Arsenal.
He said on his Substack: “Arsenal are interested in Simons as said, but our sources have heard they are focusing on Eze still but if they cannot get that over the line then Simons is the backup for them.
“Sources feel Chelsea could have come in and snapped Simons up by the time that happens anyway. So this one is certainly brewing up and all connected.
“Further to this, our sources have heard that Simons ‘would love to join Chelsea’ this window, so there would be no problem on the player side. Chelsea, expected to make more enquiries on Simons this week now.”
NKUNKU DROPS HINT
French International Christopher Nkunku has dropped a massive hint that he wants to stay at CHELSEA this summer, despite the many reports in the media that he is one player that the Board are open to letting leave this window.
After a very busy of weeks bringing players to the club, the club are ready to let a number of players leave, with Nkunku on that list with many reports suggesting in the media that he was very open to leaving the club after all the signings that have been made.
The Blues paid £52million to sign the France striker from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023 and would like to recoup as much of that as possible should they sell this summer. Manchester United and Bayern Munich have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old but it could be that Nkunku decides to stay in west London and fight for his place.
Nkunku played a big part in the club winning the club world cup this month and he celebrations alongside his Chelsea teammates, and if his social media is anything to go by, he’s still on the crest of a wave.
Posting on his official X account, Nkunku offered a little hint that his future may well be in west London. he posted a photo of himself holding the Club World Cup trophy with the words: “Still in the mood.”
That is clearly a note that he remains happy with that Club World Cup triumph, and could suggest that he wants to stay and fight for his place in the side.
DONNARUMMA WANTED
CHELSEA, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are interested in Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to Nicolò Schira.
Regarde as one of the finest stoppers in the world, Gianluigi Donnarumma is not pleased with his current situation at Paris Saint-Germain, according to the many reports in the media over the past few days.
The 26-year-old is yet to reach an agreement over a new contract with PSG and is entering the final year of his deal at the Parc des Princes. As such, Chelsea, City and Bayern are keeping close tabs on the Italy No. 1’s situation,
IcChelseanews View…
CHELSEA have some very solid goalkeepers in the side right now, but adding a new stopper to the squad is something that would certainly improve that area for the club and we are sure that the Blues will make a move if there is an opportunity to get a transfer deal done.
But he is under a massive contract at PSG so it will take alot of money to get him brought to the Premier League that is for sure.
So even though Donnarumma is having trouble agreeing that new contract with PSG, we are pretty sure that he will agree a new contract with the French giants and stay, they will not want to lose one of the clubs best players.
