Midfielder signs – Chelsea make another summer transfer annoucment!

CHELSEA have confirmed that academy star Ollie Harrison has signed his first professional contract with the club after impressive in the youth set up at Stamford Bridge.

The midfielder joined on a scholarship agreement last summer from Newcastle United. He has played for the clubs Under 17s and Under-18s side and the decision was made to give him a new contract at the club.

The club have been getting alot of deal done for youngsters over the past few weeks which has seen alot of players gets new contracts – but also alot of players leaving on loan or on a permanent basis.

‘The youngster was named in the matchday squad for games against Man City, Leeds United and Leicester City last season.

The Blues posted on the club website: ‘ Ollie Harrison joined the Blues on a scholarship agreement in August 2023 from Newcastle United and was a regular in midfield for our Under-18s, who clinched the Under-18 Premier League South title, last season.

‘He also captained our Under-17s to Under-17 Premier League Cup success and was named on the first-team substitutes bench against Manchester City, Leeds United and Leicester City.

‘A ball-playing central midfielder, Ollie has also been capped by England at Under-17 level and featured at this summer’s European Under-17 Championship.

‘Congratulations, Ollie!’

We are glad that Ollie has been signed up – he is a really talented player that could have a big future at the club so this is massive news – i am just hoping that he gets a chance in the first team and is not just loaned out all over the place.
