Kante message sent, Brooks looking to impress the likes of Chelsea and Blues favourites to sign Grealish in latest Chelsea news…
Chelsea are leading the race to sign Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish – according to the lastest reports in the media.
Since helping Aston Villa get back into the Premier League just a few seasons ago, Grealish has developed into one of the very best and most creative players in the Premier League.
His performances has led to constant speculation that the club a is very keen to add him to the squad after the European Championships, but will have a battle as there are a number of clubs that are interested in a deal
However, reports on the Fichajes.net website has claimed that we are in a strong position to complete a £100 million ($141m) deal for the 25-year-old, as they have the financial power to complete a deal
Grealish is still under contract at Villa Park until 2025, but the club are ready to test their resolve by submitting a nine-figure bid at the end of the Championships.
There has been alot said about the brilliance of Grealish over the past few seasons and it is very easy to see just why so many clubs out there are keen to sign up his signature.
We already have a number of midfielders that are world class, but if they can add Grealish to the side, he will add that bit of extra quality that the club have been lacking in the Premier League.
However, for the money that is being talked about, would he be worth the amount that it may cost to sign him this summer?
William Gallas has named Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante ‘the best player in the world’
Kante is coming off the back of a stunning campaign with the club where he played a pivotal role in the club’s Champions League success under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel.
The Frenchman is heavily tipped to claim the Ballon D’or next January after his stunning season with the club, and is also in line for a new contract with us as the club plot talks after the European Championships have finished.
And now, Gallas has opened up and claimed that Kante is easily the best player in world football right now: ‘Everybody loves N’Golo and it is easy to see why.’ Gallas told 101 Great Goals.
‘For me at the moment he is the best player in the world.
‘I know people will talk about strikers because fans like to see goals and they appreciate attacking players more.
‘But if you look at what N’Golo has done since he arrived in England it is phenomenal.
‘He won the league with Leicester, then went to Chelsea and won it there, he has won the Europa League and now the Champions League as well as winning the World Cup with France.
‘That is amazing, for me he is the best player in the world.’
It will be interesting to see if he wins that big prize in January because he fully deserves it after the season that he has had as he is one of the very best midfielders in world football
Long-term Chelsea target David Brooks hopes to use the Euros to remind everyone he still has Premier League quality.
Bournemouth’s Wales midfielder was on the radar of Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool before a serious ankle injury two years ago halted his development in the Premier League.
But There were signs that Brooks, 23, was returning to his best last season – and his 15-minute appearance for the Dragons on Saturday added to that. And now he has opened up and admitted that he is hoping to use the Euros to prove that he can still play in the Premier League
He said on the SUN: “I think every player will see it as a chance to impress.
“I’m not going to sit here and disrespect Bournemouth. Obviously, I’m contracted to them. I’m very happy there.
“I’m just looking forward to the Euros to try to showcase what I can do to everyone. However many minutes I get in the Euros, I want to take the opportunity to impress those watching.
“The Euros being pushed back meant I was able to take my recovery at an easy, steady pace.”
A couple of seasons ago we were sure that Brooks would be at a club like ours by now, he really has alot of quality in those young shoulders of his, but that ha snot happened just yet.
If he did add something to the squad, we could be a great move for the lad, but with all the quality that we have in the side, he may struggle to get in the squad guys
