WTF! Dutchman sends shock Chelsea message after fans welcome world class signing Ziyech
Former Ajax ace Andy van der Meyde has questioned Hakin Ziyech’s £36.6 million Chelsea move by claiming the Blues aren’t a top team.
Chelsea surprised many people over the past week and beat the likes of Manchester United to the signing of Ziyech in a deal worth £37 million, as the impressive winger will arrive when the summer transfer window opens up at the end of the season.
Ziyech has made a real name for himself with the Dutch giants and has confirmed himself as one of the very best wingers in Europe right now, and was linked with a move to Chelsea last summer, but the high price tag but off the London based club and they have waited until his price tag lowered just a bit.
Ziyech had an amazing season last year for the Dutch Champions and netted and helped Ajax reclaim their Dutch title, while also reaching the Champions League semi-finals, only to lose to a Tottenham side that was in form.
He also netted 16 goals and added a further 13 assists in 29-League games for Ajax and will come into the Chelsea side to add some much needed creativity to Lampards side, but Van Der Meyde has questioned why Ziyech has made the move to Chelsea.
He told VTBL: “It’s time for him to leave. Hakim is ready, he has to take the next step. The Eredivise is a training party for Ziyech. It makes sense that he looking for a new team. You need that as a top athlete.
“I just didn’t expect him to go to Chelsea. I don’t think it’s a top team nor a stable club. I would have expected Bayern Munich or someone of that size.
“Of course, it could be that the hierarchy below Liverpool changes if Manchester City are really punished [by UEFA] and maybe Chelsea will benefit from it and they will play for the top trophies, but then again, if they play, I don’t think: ‘Wow, I’ll stay at home and watch.’”
