Mendy helping Chelsea complete deal to sign world class powerhouse worth £60 million

Edouard Mendy is reportedly helping Chelsea sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly

It is no secret that Thomas Tuchel could be losing a whole host of defenders at the end of the season as a number of stars are out of contract, meaning that the German will need to bring in a few more players

Antonio Rudiger is the man that we will need to replace when he departs the club as all reports suggest that he will leave the club and maybe head over to Spanish football, Barcelona and Real Madrid are both interested

And Kulibaly is a name that many fans are fimiliar with, as the club have been linked with a move for the powerhouse for the last few seasons and are still interested in getting a deal done

He is regarded as one of the top five defenders in the game right now and a player that is perfectly equipped to make a real impact in the Premier League

And reports have claimed that Mendy, an international team-mate of Koulibaly, has been trying to persuade the powerhouse to move to Stamford Bridge and test himself at one of the best clubs in the world in the best League

Koulibaly is looking for that big move and Mendy knows that having somebody he knows already at the club would help

Look, if Rudiger does leave the club at the end of the season, then going out, spending £60 million and bringing Koulibaly to the club would be a very smart decision from the club

The man is great in the air, quick, powerful and can hold his own when it comes downs to playing out from the back.
