Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly has decided that he wants to stay at Napoli this transfer window.

Koulibaly has been outstanding for Napoli over the past few seasons and his performances has attracted all sorts of interest from the games biggest clubs, especially as we need to add some much needed experfience to that very young defensive back-line

However, reports on THE SUN WEBSITE have claimed that he has decided that he will not leave Napoli this month and would much rather wait until the summer transfer window.

Strong, classy and composed, the 28-year-old is rightly considered world-class and would be a major statement of intent from Lampard in his quest to get the club back challenging for more than a top four spot.

If he is to sign big time players, then he should start with the signing of Koulibaly as he could be the leader that the club are seeking, especially as they need to add a bit more experience to that back-line

Glenn Hoddle has claimed that Chelsea can win the Premier League in the next two years if they recruit well.

Frank Lampard has come in and done a very decent job at getting the very best from a squad that is composed of aging stars, under-performing players and youngsters that still need to prove themselves in the game.

But there is a feeling that Lampard will be given funds in the coming windows to turn this side back into Premier League and Champions League winning ways, with reports suggesting that Lampard will be given in excess of £200 million to improve this squad.

We are a long way off Manchester City and Liverpool at the moment, as they are a work in progress, but Hoddle has come out and claimed that this side can win the title in the next two years in Lampard buys the right players.

He told Premier League Productions: “I think [Lampard] does want to bring somebody in this window. Whether he’s going to get that opportunity, reading between the lines I’m not so sure actually.

“But this is more important, over the next coming two windows I think for Frank. I think if he brings in the right professionals, the right experienced players, uses the right money on that level…

“He’s got the youngsters, he knows he’s got a group of young players there. “In two years time, if he brings in the right pros, the good apples and good players, experience, with these kids, I think they’ll be challenging for the league in two years time.”

Chelsea talent George McEachran has today joined Dutch side SC Cambuur on loan until the end of the season.

It is deadline day here in the Premier League and there has been so much speculation in the media about the possible comings and goings to and from Stamford Bridge during the transfer window, as Frank Lampard seeks to get some very late deals done.

But we almost missed the news that young McEachran has managed to secure himself a move away from the club as he will now spend the rest of the season over in the Dutch Leagues.

The midfielder, 19, signed a new three-year contract with Chelsea in July 2019 ahead of the current season, having been part of the Academy since the age of eight.

McEachran has yet to make his senior debut, though he did make the bench in two Europa League games last year, including in the last group match against Hungarian side Videoton and the final against Arsenal as well.

The Dutch side announced: “With George we’re getting someone with technique, a good understanding of the game and running ability. He links the play well and, with his qualities, is a welcome reinforcement.”
