Mbappe plans PSG exit, Voller makes Havertz claim, Kumbulla move to be made and Havertz better signing than Sancho in IcChelseanews roundup.

Hellas Verona defender Marash Kumbulla is wanted by Chelsea, according to reports emerging from Italy.

Frank Lampard has done some wonderful business this summer window and has signed all the players that he believes will help our chances of winning that Premier League title this coming season.

Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Xavier Mbuyamba and Milang Sarr have all been signed to help the club defensively, although the latter have been signed for the long-term rather than right now.

However, it seems that we will look to get a couple of more deals done before the end of the transfer window as L’Arena claims the Albanian centre-back is a target for the club before deadline day.

Kumbulla has been impressing over with Verona and he has reportedly been watched by  scouts on many occasions over the past 12 months, with the Blues now ready to try and get a £15 million deal done.

We have done wonderful transfer business this summer, there is no doubt about that and the fans will be happy with the signings that the club have made.

Tony Cascarino claimed new Chelsea signing Kai Havertz has been branded a ‘better signing’ than Jadon Sancho

Both Sancho and Havertz have been rated as two of the most exciting talents in the game after becoming Bundesliga superstars over the last two seasons, but it is Sancho that has been dominating all the headlines.

Sancho is tipped to become the best winger in world football and is already raking in over 20 assists a season, but we opted to make a move for the goal-scoring Havertz, who is tipped to be the next big superstar for Germany and has been hailed as the most exciting signing that we have made this summer.

Discussing Havertz and the summer signings, Cascarino told The Times: ‘I cannot wait to see Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic leading the line for Chelsea.

‘Frank Lampard’s team now have the most exciting front three in the Premier League and, whisper it, they have what it takes to be more prolific than Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino at Liverpool.

‘Pulisic and Havertz are blessed with pace and great technique, and Werner is a lethal finisher.

‘Havertz, in particular, is going to be a massive player for Chelsea. He is a better acquisition this summer than Jadon Sancho would be.’

Chelsea target Kylian Mbappe has reportedly told Paris Saint-Germain that he intends to leave the club in 2021.

Mbappe is already regarded as one of the best players in the game, and is tipped to become a real legend of football in the coming seasons, as he is seen as the man that will replace greats Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

But still, there are many links to Mbappe and the club still circling in the media as it is no secret that owner Roman Abramovic is a massive fan of the Frenchman and would love to add him to the side in the coming windows.

Now The Times claim the French superstar informed the Champions League runners-up that he wants this campaign to be his final season at the Parc des Princes, and report adds that that the 21-year-old favours a move to LaLiga or the Premier League.

The World Cup winner has emerged as one of the best players in the world over the last few seasons but there is a feeling that he needs to leave France to truly be considered as the greatest footballer in the game right now.

Bayer Leverkusen director Rudi Voller says the Covid-19 pandemic made it easier for Chelsea to sign Kai Havertz.

Havertz has had an amazing couple of seasons over in the Bundesliga and has managed to net an impressive 38 goals for Leverkusen, with his performances linking him with all sorts of big club moves.

However, it was out club who managed to swoop in and bring him to the club in a deal that cost the  club £71 million, although the Germans were hoping to get closer to £90 million for their prized asset.

Now Voller says they would have held out for more had it not been for the financial hit they have taken as a result of the pandemic, and claimed that we took full advantage of the COVID-19 problem to secure a transfer deal for Havertz.

“[Chelsea] simply made good use of the coronavirus period,” Voller told Bild. “Next year it would have been much harder for Chelsea to get Kai.

“[Other interested teams] preferred to hold back because of the high transfer fee in this special and uncertain time.”

He is easily regarded as one of the finest talents in the game and a player that should be capable of becoming one of the very best in the game, so we were totally right to get this deal done.

He would have cost alot more money next summer, so getting a bargain this summer is fine by us. He will repay that money that he have paid to get a deal done by helping us win trophies and games.
