Chelsea on full alert after target Martinez sends big transfer warning to Arsenal
Chelsea target Emiliano Martinez has warned Arsenal that if he doesn’t get enough game time next season he will be looking to move on from the club.
Martinez has been a revelation in the Arsenal side since he took over Bernd Leno just after the re-start of football, and his performances have been impressing alot of people, and clubs.
There has been talk that he could be tempted into leaving the Emirates over the next few months of the club do not offer him the kind of guarantees that he is seeking, namely keeping his place in the starting squad.
Leno is getting back to full fitness and he is still the clubs number one stopper, meaning that Martinez may have to settle for sitting on the bench next season, something that he does not want to happen, which will alert Chelsea.
It is no secret that Frank Lampard is eager to add another stopper to the side and will be keeping a close eye on developments, as he will have until October to try and get a deal done for Martinez if the Argentine is not given the guarantees that he wants.
But, if he does, Martinez has admitted that he will be looking elsewhere: ‘I demonstrated to the club that I can play and also when I return in the next season I need to play more games,’ the 27-year-old told Argentinian radio station Continental.
‘And that’s the only way that I will stay at Arsenal. If I don’t play for Arsenal I would clearly move on.’
Martinez is a brilliant young stopper that has put in some very impressive performances for the club this season, so we wouldnt mid if he made the move to the Bridge.
