long-term Chelsea target issues big transfer statement
Long-term CHELSEA transfer target Lautaro Martinez has said he is happy at Inter Milan, despite rumours linking him with a move away from the club.
The Argentine has started this season in blistering form, with the 26-year-old scoring 12 goals in his opening 13 matches this season in Serie A and the Champions League.
His performances this season has already started all the speculation about his long-term future at the Italian club, as many of the worlds top teams are all lining up a possible move for the man.
The club have been linked with a move for Lautaro over the past couple of transfer windows, but have been unable to get a deal done as they are simply not prepared to pay the massive asking price for the World Cup winner.
Real Madrid are the latest club to be linked with a move for the player as they seek to sign a proven goal-scoring forward that has the ability to lead that attack, but it seems that they may even miss out on the striker after his latest transfer statement.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
“Obviously we are talking about a very important team [in Real Madrid], but my thoughts and my mind are always turned towards Inter,” Martinez said at the Balon D’Or ceremony.
“I am very happy there, I have a contract and my family is very happy in Milan. This evening is special for me, I thank Inter and the Argentine national team.
“What do I hope for 2024? To be able to continue competing, bring Inter as high as possible and represent Argentina in the best way. And win titles, because this is sport.”

The interest from us has wavered in recent months, but we are still a club that would be interested should Martinez ever decide to test himself in another League in the next couple of windows.
