Maresca asks for striker be signed – Chelsea decide to get January deal done – Brazilian price set
Here is the latest Chelsea fc news, gossip and transfer talk that we think you guys could have missed..
CHELSEA boss Enzo Maresca is keen for the board to chase striker Samu Omorodion, as he is the kind of striker that the Italian boss would like to have in his squad.
With the club looking to splash some more cash and try to sign players that will develop in the coming seasons – Omorodion was a player that was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge towards the back-end of the transfer window.
But despite all the rumours and speculation – The 6ft 4in striker eventually joined Porto permanently and since then he has been on fire for the Portuguese outfit, and he is really impressing at the Portuguese giants.
While a move for a proven striker like Osimhen might prove popular with Chelsea fans, it is on Samu Omorodion that manager Enzo Maresca is “insisting” that the Blues chase, Fichajes reports.
The 20-year-old has enhanced his reputation greatly since moving to Porto in the summer for €15 million – considerably less than the club were expected to pay – notably shining against Manchester United in a thrilling 3-3 Europa League draw in October.
The Spain under-21 international has recently expressed his relief at not heading to Stamford Bridge – He told RTVE: “I went through a very difficult period, because, after all, everyone knows that I was about to sign [for CHELSEA], but the truth is that it didn’t happen. It was for one reason: God didn’t want it. I’m very happy, very content to be there.
‘The truth is that things are going very well for me and, above all, I want to continue to show what I’m capable of.”
CHELSEA TO SELL BADASHILE
CHELSEA will listen to offers for Benoit Badiashile this coming January transfer window, according to the latest reports in the media.
Badiashile was one of the players that Chelsea spent some money on a couple of transfer windows ago to hopefully help improve that back-line – who have been conceding far too many goals over the past few seasons.
However – the move to the Premier League has not quite worked out for the defender and he has been unable to hold down a steady place in that side over since his move to the club, and now a decision has been made on his future.
Foot Mercato, the club are now willing to entertain offers for Benoit Badiashile, who only arrived in January of 2023 for a reported £35m, as they wants to get his massive £150k-a-week wages off the books.
There has been interest in the defender from AC Milan but it is also said that Saudi Arabian clubs could come in for him.

Look, Signing for the, club and then getting left out of the Champions League squad was massive – he handles it well – and it showed that he has a great head on them young shoulders – but that should have showed him he could struggle at Stamford Bridge.
There are a number of players at the club that need to get sold this January as they have really struggled to make any real sort of impact on the side over the past 12 months or so.
We have made some great signings and some dodgy signings, we would understand why Benoit needs to leave
MURILLO PRICE SET
CHELSEA have reportedly been told that a fee of £60 million will potentially get a transfer deal done for Brazilian Murillo.
The Brazilian impressed in his breakthrough campaign at the City Ground and reports have claimed the Blues have held initial contact with Forest. However, the asking price is said to be too high for them.
We have been hoping to get that asking price way down over the last few months as they will need to be careful with the funds they spend this January because of those Financial Fair Play Rules that are catching alot of clubs out.
According to the Daily Mail, Forest will drive a hard bargain for one of their prize assets and only a bid in the region of £60 million will bring them to the negotiating table.
Murrillo, meanwhile, recently confirmed he is the subject of ‘interest’ from CHELSEA and even suggested he used his move to Forest as a stepping stone.
‘I don’t know if it’s £70m, but I know there was a buzz of interest,’ Murillo said on the Benja Me Mucho podcast. ‘So, I don’t know exactly how much the amount is, but I know there was interest.
‘I had the dream of playing in the Premier League and I had that thought. I thought: “I’ll go to Nottingham Forest, have a good year and then I’ll go to a big club”. I had that in my head.’

Look, Murillo has solid for Forest last season and did put in some decent performances for the club – but many fans will just be hoping that this is a rumour because the Brazilian is not good enough for the club yet.
