Lyon will not sell Chelsea target Tanguy N’Dombele in the January transfer window for anything less than £61 million.
The 21-year-old spent the past season on loan at Lyon, who recently activated the £7m buyout clause to sign him permanently from Amiens, and his performances over last year have been so impressive that even French champions Paris Saint-Germain and Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have also been interested in a deal.
And now, according to the Sky Sports website, N’dombele is on the shopping list of Maurizio Sarri as the Blues ponder life without Kante, who is a big target for PSG, who are reportedly ready to swoop in during the next couple of transfer window and offer him a fresh challenge away from the Premier League.[the_ad id=”238″]
But with most clubs reportedly ready to offer around £44 million for the talented midfielder, Lyon know the value of the talent and will not do a deal for anything less than £61 million.
Is N’Dombele ready to make that big move to Stamford Bridge?
Everyday there seems to be a new rumour about the future of Kante and that is to be expected, especially since he is one of the best five midfielders in world football and arguably one of the most important in the squad.
But to line-up a talent like N’dombele would be a good move from Sarri as the young man would get the opportunity to learn from the best holding midfielder in world football, before he does decide to pack his bags and leave the club for a move to PSG.
However, N’Dombele is not worth £61 million right now and maybe we should wait a couple of years before making an official move, as then we can see just how he develops and if he is good enough to fill the void of Kante in the coming seasons.[the_ad id=”238″]
