Unit ‘has reached agreement’ to complete £6.4m-a-year Chelsea transfer deal

Romelu Lukaku has agreed to head back to Inter Milan only a year after re-joining the club
After a bright start following his club-record £97.5m transfer last summer, Lukaku’s influence faded and ended the season behind the likes of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner under manager Thomas Tuchel.
He scored 15 goals in all competitions, but had to apologise to the club and fans for his comments about his bit-part role while in international duty – and he got his lawyer to open talks about a move back to Inter Milan
Now – according to according to Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport – the powerhouse has agreed a move back to Inter only a year after making that massive move back to Stamford Bridge
The reports claim he has agreed to a £6.4m salary – lower than the £10.2m plus £2.5m in add-ons he earns at Stamford Bridge.
Lukaku’s lawyer held a meeting with Inter over the 29-year-old’s return – which would reportedly be on loan – on Wednesday, and is now understood to be seeking talks with Chelsea’s new owners.

His performances were not good enough – his movement was awful and at times – his finishing was semi-pro level
It is probably the best thing that he departs the club in the coming window as having him for another season would not get fans excited about possible trophies
So the news that he is leaving is not a massive one to see – but we are hoping that a new striker will be signed during the transfer window
