Chelsea star David Luiz has praised “great human” Maurizio Sarri after bringing success back to the club.
After replacing Antonio Conte in the summer transfer window, many failed to give Sarri any hope of impressing as coach after failing to gain constant success with Napoli, despite the fact they pushed Juventus so close in Serie A and became of the most exciting teams to watch around Europe.
However, we are unbeaten in all competitions this season aside from the Community Shield and many have placed it down to the type of football Sarri has been playing at Stamford Bridge, with the Italian boss even managing to get out of the players that let themselves down under Conte.
And after Chelsea triumphed 4-0 at Burnely at the weekend, with Alvaro Morata, Ross Barkley, Willian and Ruben Loftus-Cheek on the scoresheet, Luiz has hailed his new boss, telling the Sky Sports website: “I’m so happy because he’s a great human, he knows how to teach us, he knows how to improve us. When it’s like that it’s easy to understand and easy to try to be a fantastic player inside the pitch.”
Here is what we think.
Sarri has brought so much enthusiasm and excitement back to the club after we failed so miserably last season under Conte, despite the fact the former Juventus coach had pretty much the same side that Sarri now has.
And Luiz is flourishing under the guidance of Sarri, with the Brazilian enjoying a great start to the new Premier League season, it is just a shame that at some point he will make a mistake or two and possibly cost us valuable points when we need it.
So we are glad that Luiz is happy and I am just hoping that he continues to impress and put in the kind of performances that will help us keep up our unbeaten run, and then make a real challenge for the premier League title towards the back end of the season.
