Germany boss Joachim Low admits he has mixed emotions about Kai Havertz and Timo Werner joining Chelsea.

After months of speculation, we finally managed to secure a deal that would see Havertz make the move to Stamford Bridge and become one of the highest paid players at the club.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder was given permission to leave Germany’s training camp in Stuttgart to finalise a switch after we agreed a £71m deal with Bayer Leverkusen for his signature.

Werner, 24, completed a £45.5 million move from Leipzig to Stamford Bridge back in July after a stunning season in the Bundesliga saw him net an impressive 34 goals for Leverkusen, a tally that Chelsea were very impressed with.

Havertz was pictured in training for the first time on Saturday and Werner has already been raining at the club for weeks as he prepares to test himself in the Premier League, but Low admits he has mixed feelings about the pair making the moves

Reacting to the clubs summer business, the Germany manager said: “I see it as negative when such great talents as Kai are no longer in the Bundesliga.

“But I also see the positives. The players develop their personalities abroad. I think if Kai and Timo take the next step at Chelsea, that will of course help us.”

The Premier League will certainly improve the pair and take them to another level, especially as it is the Best League in the game right now.

Them players moving here will only be good news for Low
