Mbappe addresses rumours, Doig opens up about Chelsea links and Zaha open door to possible transfer deal in Chelsea latest…

Hibernian defender Josh Doig has responded to the rumours that he could sign for the likes of Chelsea this coming transfer window.

It is considered to be only a matter of time before he finds himself on the move, either to the Premier League or further afield after a very impressive season with the Scottish Giants.

The club are always on the lookout for the next best talent, and reports have claimed that we  are ready to challenge the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool for the services of Doig, who could cost upwards of £20 million in the window.

Quizzed on the interest he has been attracting, Doig told Sky Sports: “I do see the stuff on Twitter, you are always going to come by it. I just let it by me, I don’t really focus on it too much.

“I know people are always going to talk if you are a young player and doing alright in the team, but you can’t look too much into it.

“You get your pals messaging you saying this and that is happening, but by mum and dad will never mention much and they will keep me grounded.

“I’m not focusing on it too much. It’s a massive confidence boost for myself, obviously, seeing big teams are interested. I can just use that to give myself a confidence boost and use it in my game. Big teams are looking so why not use that as a confidence booster.”

He added: “It’s just taking it as it comes. I have done that all season, never look too far ahead. Whatever happens, happens.

“I absolutely love it here at Hibs, they have all been absolutely brilliant with me.

“There is always speculation but I never look too far ahead. All I’m focusing on at the moment is the final – it’s the biggest game of my life so far.”

Long-Term Chelsea target Wilfried Zaha is feeling ready for “another shot at the top teams”

Zaha has delivered a personal-best return of 11 goals this season, taking him to 68 in total for Palace while also laying on 72 assists across 392 appearances for the Eagles.

His performances over the past few seasons has led to constant speculation we are ready to try and get a deal done in the coming transfer window.

And Zaha has made no secret of the fact that he wants to test himself at the highest level, with that stance reiterated when telling The Face: “I feel like I can have another shot at the top teams, because my dream is to win things.

“I’m good enough to go out there and compete with the best.

“If the opportunity came, I wouldn’t turn it down, because I feel like I deserve it. It’s so I can show my kids: ’This is what daddy won’.”

“I’m 28, but my career’s still hot.

“People thought I was done: going to Man United and that not working out, me going to Cardiff.

“But I’ve gone back to Palace, restarted my career, and I’ve stayed relevant and hot throughout this time.

“My name is still in people’s mouths. You can say what you want but I’m still here and I’m still hot.”

Zaha is a very classy player that would improve the squad, but right now, we have enough players in the squad that do exactly the same thing as the Palace star

Chelsea target Kylian Mbappe said he was the happiest person at Paris Saint-Germain following their 2-0 win over Monaco in the Coupe de France final on Wednesday

The exciting Frenchman, who is regarded as one of the finest players in world football, is the subject of transfer speculation right now as PSG know that they need to tie him down to a new contract, especially as his current deal runs out at the end of 2022.

And Despite team-mate Neymar extending his contract earlier this month, Mbappe has yet to sign a new deal. The delay has intensified speculation about whether he will eventually push for a move to Spain or England, where we have been linked with a move

“You have to enjoy the title, that’s the most important thing,” said Mbappe to France 2 when asked about next year. “Look at all the people who are happy! This is the most important thing and I am the first happy guy.

“We work every day to have this type of emotion, reward and recognition. It’s the work of a whole group, a whole staff who work every day for us, for the club and of course the supporters who could not be there. We think about them a lot and this title is for them.

“When you play for Paris Saint-Germain, one of the best clubs in the world, the biggest club in the country, every title counts to go down in history. Plus it’s a young club, we want to be part of this history and it’s a great stage today.”

Look, if Mbappe does come onto that transfer market in the window, we have the financial power to beat off all clubs, even the likes of City and Madrid.
