Chelsea target Nabil Fekir is increasingly likely to leave Lyon this summer after director of football Juninho Pernambucano indicated that the Frenchman has told him he wants to leave the club.
Although we cannot register players for this window, just yet, reports have claimed that we may reignite their interest in long-term Liverpool target Fekir, who almost made the move to the Premier League last summer.
The France international required two operations on his right knee inside the space of a year due to a cruciate ligament rupture and that made Liverpool walk away from the deal, but the 25-year-old has made 39 appearances in all competitions for Lyon this season, scoring 12 goals and registering nine assists.
But with just one-year remaining on his current deal with the French giants, Juninho has revealed that the powerful midfielder has indicated once again that he would like to make a move away from the club this summer.
Juninho said on the Daily Express website: “Honestly, I think it’s going to be difficult to convince him to continue. His generation has gone away.
“It’s not a closed matter but I’m telling you the truth. We would like to keep him. For the moment, the only conceivable departure is his. As long as he does not leave, we will work with him as if he were going to stay.
“It’s up to him to think about it, to make a decision with his family. But the possibility that he leaves is a reality.”
Meanwhile, we have two exciting wingers at the club this season in the shape of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic, but who is better?
