Frank Lampard has opened up on the reported Chelsea offer for Kai Havertz!
Frank Lampard has revealed that while he considers Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz to be a “top player”, Chelsea are yet to have made a bid.
Havertz has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League over the past few months with reports the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder is wanted by us and a number of top clubs
It is believed that we want the lad as they seek a long-term replacement for Eden Hazard, as they have failed to replace the Belgian since e left the club last summer, and are reportedly ready to pay that massive £87 million asking fee to get a transfer deal done.
There has been speculation that we have made contact with the German side about a possible move to Stamford Bridge, especially with reports we are keen to get their transfer deals done early.
We haven’t yet made a concrete offer for Havertz, with Lampard describing the forward as a “top player”.
He said on Sky Sports: “He’s obviously a top player, but to carry on from my answer before I’m certainly not going to comment on other players at other teams. And it cannot be our focus. So, nothing to say.”
When asked if an offer had been made, he added: “No. No bids have gone in.”
Lampard says there have been no bids by Chelsea for Bayer Leverkusen player Kai Havertz.#CHEMCI

Havertz is a brilliant player that could add something to the attack, but with all the quality we already have and the players coming in, do we really need to add this player to the side?
