Koulibaly price set, Eriksen boots and Hysaj door open in good moring Chelsea
Here is the latest news, gossip and transfer speculation from IcChelseanews.com
Napoli have reportedly told chasing Chelsea they will have to pay a staggering £108m to prise Kalidou Koulibaly away.
Despite our relatively good start to the new season under Maurizio sarri, we are lacking in certain areas of the pitch and defence is certainly one of them as both David Luiz and Antonio Ruidger are too unreliable when it comes to the big games.
[the_ad id=”164″]That has led to a lot of speculation that Sarri is ready to delve into the transfer kitty to land a world class centre-half, with the likes of Koulibaly, Elsaid Hysaj, Daniel Rugani and even Toby Alderweireld all linked with a possible switch to Stamford Bridge.
But according to Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has told chasing clubs that they will now have to spend £108 million to secure a deal for Koulibaly in the coming transfer windows.
Koulibaly recently signed a deal with Napoli that will keep him at the club until 2023, so the Italians have no need to cash in unless they receive an offer they simply cannot refuse.
The agent of Napoli star Elsaid Hysaj, Mario Giuffredi, has told Carlo Ancelotti if he wants the defender to leave, just tell him.
Despite the fact We have been one of the best teams to watch in the Premier League this season, there is still a few areas on the pitch which Maurizio Sarri needs to work on before he can challenge for the League title.
[the_ad id=”164″]And one area of the pitch they need to improve is the back-line, especially with recent reports which have suggested that David Luiz could leave the club after failing to agree a new contract with the club.
Now we have been given a huge boost after his agent hit out at boss Ancelotti, telling Radio Marte: “Last summer he could have joined Chelsea, and follow Sarri, but Ancelotti blocked the trade, saying he would have entrusted Elseid with a big-time position.
“Now, however, we are showed how he’s been playing only one out of last four games. Maybe he’s not that important anymore for the boss: if it’s like that, he just has to tell us: we’ll leave, and stop bothering with our presence”.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has admitted he is unsure whether Chelsea target Christian Eriksen will commit his future to the club.
The Denmark international has just 18 months remaining on his contract and has been linked with several of Europe’s biggest clubs, as reports emerge which claim he is considering his options after another productive season with Spurs.
We have been linked with a move in recent weeks after boss Maurizio Sarri admitted he was a fan of the creative star, with reports he is looking for an immediate replacement for Cesc Fabregas, and now we have been given a huge boost after Pochettino admitted he is not sure whether Eriksen will sign a new deal.
He said on the Sky Sports website: “No news is good news. Who knows? I am not a person who suffers too much in this type of situation, because football is dynamic.
“Football is about interests that sometimes as a manager we cannot manage. It depends on many things. Different parties have interests.”
