Chelsea news: Midfielder all set to complete summer move

Manchester City are confident that a transfer for CHELSEA midfielder Mateo Kovacic is close after agreeing personal terms,

We have been one of the most active sides in the transfer windows over the last few seasons – and there are alot of changes going on in the club – with a new board – and possibly a new manager.

Kovacic, 28, has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and is free to discuss a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs in January 2024. the club do not want to lose the man, but there is a feeling that he is ready to depart the club.

According to recent reports from German – Kovacic is seeking a way out of Stamford Bridge and has reportedly told the board that he would like to leave.

Now talkSPORT understands The midfielder is set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after five seasons at the club.

Look, Kovacic has been a brilliant player for the club over the seasons there is no doubt about that – but a move to Man City will give him more chances to win titles – even if he does not play on a weekly basis.

We obviously dont want him to leave – but we are hoping that an adequate replacement is brough to the side.
