Koulibaly update! Agent tells Chasing Chelsea £100 million Koulibaly ‘will not join’ Juventus
Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly would not “betray” Napoli by leaving the club for Juventus, his agent has admitted.
The 27-year-old has been become one of the most coveted centre-backs in world football since joining Napoli in 2014 and has been heavily tipped to leave Napoli at the end of the season and make the move to the Premier League, with Maurizio Sarri keen on a deal.
[the_ad id=”164″]Sarri may be under fire right now, but he is still eyeing up possible transfer deals and would love to acquire a defender that has all the qualities to make a real impact on the back-line.
However, there has been some speculation that he could in fact make a move to Italian Champions Juventus, with the Italian Champions keen to take advantage of our transfer ban and sign the £100 million rated defender.
“Koulibaly at Juventus? He’s very close to Napoli, the club and above all to the city,” his agent Bruno Satin told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“I don’t think he would ever betray them to go to Juventus, but let’s not forget that they are professional players.”
Koulibaly would have been a world class buy.
Koulibaly is one of the best defenders in world football and signing him would have helped Sarri achieve his goals of getting the aside back into a top four spot, which will be a lot harder now that we cannot sign any players for the next two transfer windows.
The fact he will not be heading to Juventus would have been a massive boost for the club, but it is a disappointment that it would have been just us and Manchester United in the chase to try and get a deal done.
Koulibaly would have been a brilliant buy for us, so it is a shame that we will miss out on his services if and when he moves next.
