Powerhouse ends speculation and announces he wants to be at Chelsea in summer

Kalidou Koulibaly has opened up and revealed that he is keen to stay at CHELSEA and fight for his place in the squad.

Regarded as one of the finest centre-backs in the game – the club made sure that they were the club to prise him away from Napoli and bring him to the Premier League.

There was alot of hype surrounding his move to the club and many tipped him to be a real leader at the back alongside Thiago Silva – but he has not impressed at Stamford Bridge like many people had hoped for.

That has led to alot of speculation and rumours in the media which have claimed that Chelsea may be open to letting Koulibaly leave the club at the end of the current season, especially as there are alot of stars linked with a move.

However – amid all the speculation and rumours – Koulibaly has come out and stated that he has a desire to stay at the club and fight to prove his worth for the Premier League giants.

“I have a three-year contract and I am calm. I have time to show everybody who I am”, he tells The Sun  

 “It’s not a difficult season but I need time to adapt and I knew that. When I decided to come here I was well aware that it wouldn’t be easy”.

Koulibaly is one of the best centre-backs in the game right now and it has been a shock to see that he has been unable to make the impact that many had hoped for.

However – he is brilliant and we are sure that he will show fans just why there is so much hype surrounding. him – he really is a class defender and the fact he wants to stay is massive.
