Koulibaly message sent, Lamps sends Kante message, Hammers warned about Rice deal and Silva hits out in icchelseanews roundup…

Frank Lampard insisted N’Golo Kante is part of his plans despite reported interest from Manchester United.

We landed Edouard Mendy last week to take their summer spending to around £250million and The goalkeeper joins Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr, Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz in arriving at Stamford Bridge this summer

But the £200 million that we have spent this season has to be recouped with player exits, and that means that Frank Lampard is willing to let a number of players leave the club that are considered to be first-team stars.

Manchester United have pretty much shown an interest in trying to get a transfer deal done as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly keen to add a bit more physicality to the United midfield and are even ready to pay £60 million to get a transfer deal done.

United have reached out to Kante’s advisors to see if a deal can be made, according to The Mirror, but Despite United’s links, Lampard has expressed his desire for Kante to stay.

He said: “He is an incredible player, I keep saying it and I mean it, he is huge for this club.”

Thiago Silva has hit out at PSG over the manner in which he left the club and joined Chelsea.

Regarded as one of the finest leaders in the game, Silva shocked many at the back end of last season after it emerged that he could be coming to the Premier League after failing to agree a new contract at the club.

But now, Silva has opened up and laid into PSG for the way that he was told that there would not be any new contract in the summer, he was quoted on the SUN: “It was a situation that p***ed me off,” he told France Football, “I really didn’t like the way it was conducted.

“Even if there was containment, things should have been done differently.

“I was in Brazil, in quarantine, when Leonardo called me to tell me that because of the pandemic and the difficulties… (He pauses.) No, first, he asked me if I was OK to continue two more months in order to play a possible Final 8.

“I told him I did. But he told me that the club would not go beyond these two months. It would be two months and nothing else. It should have been done differently…

“My whole career at PSG, I gave the maximum, I never cheated. Is it like three matches in the Final 8 changed everything?

“And everything I’d achieved in those eight years, it didn’t matter anymore? It is not consistent.

“Leo did this clumsily and hastily. Not just with me, by the way. I also think of Cavani who is the top scorer in the history of PSG. I say this so that the club will progress and not make any more mistakes in the future.”

West Ham have been warned that selling Declan Rice to Chelsea would be a “big gamble”, by Joe Cole.

It is no secret that the club are massive fans of Rice with suggestions that Frank Lampard wants to make him the last transfer signing of the summer after spending over £200 million on players that have improved the side.

But Cole believes the Hammers need to be doing all they can to retain the services of a prized asset, even if talk of £40 million ($52m) bids being in the offing proves to be correct.

He was quoted on GOAL: “It would be a big gamble to let him go because he is the most important player in that dressing room.

“We talk about what he is worth as an asset to the club financially but how much is it worth to stay in the Premier League?

“When you have got the back three and him and [Tomas] Soucek, and Noble to come in, all of a sudden you have got a nice solid base to build on there.

“We have talked about the disconnect between the ownership group and the fans and I think it will be a step too far if they let him go.

“I don’t know what’s in the lad’s heart or head, what does he want to do, but he is a fantastic player, a fantastic lad and a big asset to this club. He is so important to this West Ham team.”

Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly will stay at Napoli this summer, according to the Serie A club’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli.

Regarded as one of the finest defenders on the planet right now, there has been constant speculation in the media that our club, along with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham, are all keen to bring the powerhouse to the Premier League.

It has been believed that Napoli would be open to the idea of letting Koulibaly leave the club this transfer window if clubs met his massive £60 million asking price, but with a few weeks to go in the transfer window, no moves have officially been made.

But now it seems that the Premier League will not be seeing the arrival of Koulibaly this transfer window as the club’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has now claimed that the powerhouse will now stay with the Italian club.

“Our squad is complete, so will now try to release players who won’t have much time on the pitch,” Giuntoli told Sky in Italy before Napoli’s Serie A game against Genoa on Sunday afternoon.

“I think Koulibaly is staying, we are very happy and so is he. He has three years on his current deal, I believe he is staying.”

We are massive fans of Koulibaly and firmly believe that he has the ability to improve this  side, so it has been a shock to see that now Premier League offer has been made, because the Italians would have sold for the right money.
