Sarri told to get rid of Hazard, Door open for Werner deal, £87m Koulibaly, Pochettino next in Chelsea roundup
Here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news, gossip and transfer speculation from IcChelseanews
Eden Hazard has announced that he has a made a decision on his Chelsea future, amid Real Madrid interest.
We have not done enough to convince Hazard to sign a new contract with the club and commit his long-term future with at Stamford Bridge, as all indications suggested that he wants to leave and sign for the Spanish giants.
[the_ad id=”164″]But despite admitting that he has made his decision on whether or not he will stay or go, Hazazrd has failed to tell fans just what he will be doing at the end of the season.
Speaking to RMC, he said: “I know what I am going to do. I have made a decision.”
Hazard only has eighteen months on his current contract and has constantly hinted that he will be leaving the club, having come so close during last summers transfer window.
Stan Collymore has urged Chelsea to sell star man Eden Hazard to change the dynamic in the dressing room.
Hazard may be one of the best players at the club, but it is widely expected that this season will be his last at Stamford Bridge as he is seeking a mega money move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, who are reportedly ready to seal a £100 million deal.
And despite many fans wanting the star man to stay put, Collymore has claimed they need to get rid of Hazard, and the toxic dressing room.
“Eden Hazard needs to leave Stamford Bridge – to rid Chelsea of its toxic ¬dressing room,” he wrote in his Daily Mirror column.
“Nothing against the Belgian, who I rate one of the best in the world, but it’s time for the club to cash in.
“Losing a player like Hazard would leave a massive hole. But £150million is good business for a 27-year-old. He’s a wonderful talent but I’ve got a nagging feeling he’s part of the problems at the club.
“Jose Mourinho was lukewarm towards him, Antonio Conte wasn’t overly keen, and now he is part of a crew whose bottle Maurizio Sarri has questioned in the last few weeks.
“I have to say that while Hazard would be the stand-out name, I could see Chelsea ridding themselves of a few more so-called big-hitters.”
RB Leipzig manager Ralf Rangnick has urged Chelsea target Timo Werner not to join Liverpool in the summer.
It is no secrte that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is a big admirer of the 22-year old German star and reportedly tried his best to get a deal done in the January transfer window, in a bid to provide competition for Roberto Firmino and strengthen the Reds’ attacking options.
However, Leipzig did not want to let their prized asset leave halfway through the season and Werner decided to stay, with many in the media suggesting that he could make the move to the Premier League in the summer transfer window, with Maurizio Sarri now eyeing up a deal.
We may have signed Gonzalo Higuain in the January window, but they are looking for a more long-term signing and reportedly see the speedy German as an ideal signing.
And we have been given a huge boost after Rangnick says Werner – who has 14 goals for club and country this season – should be wary of joining him at Anfield.
“Keita was an outstanding player here, but he’s still struggling in Liverpool ,” the manager told Sky Germany.
“So far, he’s not the player there that he was here. The surroundings must be right for Timo. That’s the case here.”
Reports have claimed Chelsea are looking to beat off Manchester United for the signing of Tottenham boss Maricio Pochettino.
It is highly-regarded in that Uunited are looking to take Pochettino to Old Trafford in the summer, despite the fact Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a terrific start to life as boss at Old Trafford and brought the positive vibe back to the club.
Reports have claimed United are massive fans of Pochettino and see him as the future of the club, after the Argentine turned Spurs into one of the best sides in the Premier League, and all indications suggested they had no real contenders for Poch.
[the_ad id=”164″] However, reports on the Sky Sports website has now claimed we are making a plan B in case Maurizio Sarri does not live upto expectations this season and have taken a keen interest in trying to prise Pochettino away from Spurs.Sarri made an instant impact at Stamford Bridge but results and performances have dipped since he suffered the first defeat of his reign against Pochettino’s Spurs side back in November, and they believe they can prise Pochettino away from Spurs with a £50 million offer.
But the former Southampton manager’s preference remains United, should he opt to call time on his five-year tenure at Spurs.
The former agent of Kalidou Koulibaly has told chasing Chelsea the Napoli defender could leave for less than £100 million in the summer.
Koulibaly is now considered to be one of the best defender in Europe and has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge for the past six months, with Maurizio Sarri a big fan an desperate to improve the back-line of the side.
It is no secret we have a back-line that could cost us the chance of silverware and Champions League football next season, and Koulibaly is just one of a number of players that we would like to see arrive in the coming windows.
[the_ad id=”164″]However, reports have claimed the £100 million asking price has put us off a possible deal for the big man, as club officials reportedly do not believe that Koulibaly is worth such an amount.
But Kouliably’s former agent has revealed on French TV that the imposing defender could be available for a slightly lower figure, a massive £87.5m.
“PSG already have plenty of central defenders,” Bruno Satin told Canal+.
“Maybe he can play at No.10, they already play Marquinhos at No.6.
“But if Koulibaly leaves [Napoli], he will not come to PSG.
“His transfer could cost €100m (£87.5m).”
