Koulibaly for £81 million, Bosz makes Havertz claim, Chelsea should sign Gimenez in icchelseanews.com daily roundup…

Chelsea will have to break the world record transfer fee for a defender to sign Jose Gimenez from Atletico Madrid, and they should.

We may be getting many in the Premier League excited for the start of next season, especially with the transfer deals that they have already done, but they need to delve into that kitty and land a new central defender.

We have already conceded more goals at the back than any side in the top 10 of the Premier League, and will not be able to challenge for that title if frank Lampard does not get the defensive players that will improve the side.

And that has led to speculation in the media which have claimed that we are lining up a possible transfer move for the very impressive Gimenez, who is very highly-rated over in La Liga and is also being chased by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

But if we want to bolster our defensive ranks with Uruguay international Gimenez they have been told we will have to pay £109.1m, which will break the transfer record for a defender in the game.

£109 million is alot to pay for the defender, but if we seriously need to add another defender to the squad and Gimenez has proven himself at the very top of the game for a while now.

Bayer Leverkusen coach Peter Bosz has said he knows where the future of Chelsea target Kai Havertz lies.

We have been heavily linked with a move to bring Kai Havertz to the Premier League for months now, but a deal has not been announced or confirmed just yet, despite the many reports that it has.

It is believed that an agreement with the player is in place, but the hierarchy are trying to negotiate that £90 million fee down a bit, with suggestions that we are only willing to pay close to £70 million.

And with rumours continuing to intensify over where Havertz’s long-term future lies, his current boss says he is already aware what his star asset is going to do… although remained coy when quizzed by reporters.

“I won’t tell, it’s his business,” Bosz told German news agency DPA.

“I talk to Kai a lot and try to sense what all this does to him – the daily transfer rumours, for example – and I notice again and again that Kai handles it very well.”

“It’s impossible to say. Maybe the decisive call will come today, maybe next week, maybe not at all,” he added.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has admitted Chelsea transfer target Kalidou Koulibaly may be sold – but only for £81million.

We have been in the headlines alot over the past few months as they seek to build a side that is capable of challenging for all the major trophies next season, and adding a new defender is on the agenda for Frank lampard.

Despite all the attacking flair that we have , and will have, they have one of the worst defences in the premier League and will need to address that with a world class signing in the coming weeks, with Koulibaly on the list.

Regarded as one of the finest defenders in the game right now, Koulibaly has been heavily linked with some of the biggest clubs for months, and Now it seems that the Italians are ready to cash in on the powerhouse after De Laurentiis has admitted Koulibaly may be sold – but only for £81million.

De Laurentiis told Sky Italia: “Kalidou is a wonderful person and of course it’d be sad to lose him.

“Everything has a time and a place, even when it comes to going our separate ways.

“‘Having said that, we don’t have €90m (£81m) on the table and in any case, it takes two to separate.”

Look, we do need to improve this back-line ahead of next season and if there is a chance to sign up Koulibaly, we would be massive fools not to try and get a transfer deal done.

so lets get it done.
